I sought out guitar lessons because I felt I'd reached the limit of what I could teach myself. After taking lessons with Gareth I've become a lot more confident in my playing and have greatly improved my understanding of guitar and music in general. The lessons are challenging but honestly it's a huge plus -- he teaches in a way that's designed to make you improve, and you don't get better at anything without pushing yourself. I've enjoyed lessons more than I thought I would and each makes for a fun hour to look forward to during the week. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gareth to anyone; novice, intermediate, touring pro, and bedroom virtuoso players can all benefit from his teaching.
My 10 year old son looks forward to guitar lessons with Brenda - she makes it fun while providing GREAT instruction!
She is kind and fun to work with. I look forward to my lessons as a time to learn to sing, and to just enjoy myself. She's good at balancing having a good time and having a professional lesson very well.
Stephen is great to work with. He was willing to walk me through buying a guitar and amp to get started. Super excited for my lessons!
I took voice and piano lessons from David for a period of about three years and always found him to be encouraging, reliable, and meticulous in his work, not to mention the fact that he is an absolute expert in his field as well as an outstanding performer. He meets you at your individual level and helps you select music that challenges you to grow as a musician even as it suits your ability at the time. He then pinpoints areas where you could improve, giving you helpful feedback and personal exercises tailored to addressing those areas where you could become better. He also gives you valuable coaching on all aspects of performance, including tips on your carriage, how to show emotion, and phrasing the music to name a few. I would enthusiastically recommend taking lessons from him whether you are interested in recreational lessons or becoming a professional performer. He will inspire you to reach beyond what you thought you'd be able to do and help you to reach your goals.
I am a guitar/voice student with Bart at Reno's and he's great! I call him "The Song Doctor" because he revives songs I bring in with technique and great ideas! He is an amazing guitarist and patient teacher, even when I struggle. He knows music theory well and can teach this knowledge in an understandable and interesting way. Lessons are fun and non intimidating. Reno's Music is cool and I always feel welcome.
After choosing Clayton, I knew he would be a great teacher. Since I am a beginner, he has worked with me at a really slow pace--but I still feel like I learn something new during each lesson. I have improved a lot already and I know it's because Clayton is a great teacher. He knows a lot about guitars and guitar playing, I'm really glad I picked him!
My granddaughters have been receiving piano and voice lessons for several years. They continually improve and love it! The enjoy participating in the plays and showcases and the family always has a great time when attending the extra activities, also.
Sabrina is teaching piano to my Kindergarten-aged twins. She is great with young kids and their parents. She's very flexible with her teaching, willing to adapt to the style that fits them best. The lessons have included a conga drum to learn keeping time, as well as opening up the piano to show how the inside works. The learning environment in her home is very relaxing, and helps to calm my very energetic boys. When my boys do get distracted, she can effectively rein them back in or use their curiosity as a teachable moment when appropriate.

I teach music and music theory for all ages! Once you learn the instruction from me, you will be the greatest musician. I have toured the world as a musician, and I have a B.A. in Music.
Music has aways been a part of my life since as long as I can remember. The moment I first picked up the guitar, it became my passion. My goal is to share the gift of music through the guitar with others by teaching them in a manner that is both enjoyable and efficient. I provide a lesson plan that develops technique, rhythm, and discipline to help students reach their desired goal of being able to jam on the guitar and skillfully play around.
My work stands out because I focus on fundamentals instead of style. I want to help my students use their creativity, not stifle it with rigid stylistic limitations.
I am a guitarist/vocalist/bassist with 30 years of recording and live experience in the music scene. I teach basic vocal, bass guitar and guitar instruction. I am experienced with beginner to intermediate guitarists.
Hello. I have been playing guitar for over eight years and currently play and record music. I was privately trained in jazz, blues and rock guitar and have an extensive knowledge of music theory as well. I am currently offering lessons for beginning, intermediate or advanced guitar players. Thank you.
I take an odd approach to teaching. Instead of learning traditional chords i like to teach bar chords and soloing/scales first. I feel like it creates better dexterity with the fingers. By doing this you can learb songs faster and make it a simplified more enjoyable approach. Trying to teach the traditional way of learning major, minor, diminished chords etc can be frustrating for beginners and not as excoting because they arent learning a song but just practing chords. Lets be honest you picked a guitar up to play songs not atrum the same chord....
I feel that my welcoming personality and enthusiasm for sharing what I know are two things that set me apart from others.
I teach and perform music in the Indianapolis area. I have a BA in Music Performance and Composition as well as 11 years of experience in piano performance and 3 years of experience as a choral section leader. My area of specialty is in music theory.
I provide guitar lessons for beginning to advanced players. I teach jazz, bluegrass, gypsy jazz, rock and blues. I teach acoustic or electric guitar.
Teaching each student with fun, effective techniques is what I do best. Not only will they learn, but they will also enjoy learning.
I am down to earth, and I enjoy teaching people about how to learn the guitar. If you are a beginner, I can teach you the basics.
