Our preschool needed the floors done extremely bad & I was looking for a company that cared about what they do, could handle a big facility & would do a great job. Bobby was referred to me so I took a chance. I could tell by the walk through estimate that he cared about his job, his customers, he was professional, friendly, was thorough, knew what he was doing, and was gonna make sure the job was done RIGHT! His company was exactly what I was looking for. When i walked in Monday, I couldn't believe how great the floors looked & all the furniture was put back. He even called to see if we needed any extra help moving heavy stuff within the classroom. We will now use his company regularly to keep the floors in shape. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Creative Cleaning Solutions!! Thanks Bobby for a great job :)

House men were just what we needed. On very short notice Evan and crew made moving my father into an assisted living apartment effortless. Communication was excellent. The job ahead of us was running long so Evan texted to let us know they would be about an hour late. I truly appreciated the heads up. Then he texted when they were en route. House men were very professional and took great care to wrap and protect furniture even though we were only moving 300 yards away. Their prices are fair as well. They have my full recommendation and we would use them again. Thanks guys!

Darin and his crew were professional, thorough, and fast. Moving me is a chore with big, heavy, antique furniture with lots of boxes. They did NOT take excessive breaks. They worked. Best experience moving EVER! And I have plenty of experience moving.

My husband and I were hesitant to hire movers for fear of the cost. However, with moving out of a third floor apartment in to a split level house, it was decided we wouldn't worry about cost. I couldn't have asked for a better moving company to help us out. They stayed in contact with me the morning of the move before they arrived and got us out of the old and in to the new in less than 4 hours after being quoted for a 6 hour job. I couldn't have been happier. They also helped move a piece of furniture we already had in the house but couldn't get in to the room we wanted it. If we ever move from this house, I will definitely look to hire Kentuckiana Moving first.

I had a small job of two rooms of furniture, so I got a smaller truck and two young men. The driver called to let me know they were on their way. They arrived promptly, were courteous, and got the job done in 45 minutes. I couldn't have asked for a smoother move.

David and Roger were friendly, approachable, and efficient. I mainly used DZ moving for my furniture but they continually offered any help they could give to make the move easier. They definitely didnt waste time and were great with my furniture. It made the move I was dreading so much easier. I would definitely use them again!

The Moving Dudes are wonderful! I contacted them on Monday to move some old furniture out of our office. They were quick to respond and showed up right on time on Tuesday. Very polite, nice guys and easy to work with. I asked them to take a bunch of old brochures to our dumpster and they were happy to do that for me. I would recommend them to anyone!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
