FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My tax clients get the advantage of being invoiced either by Schedule or by the Hourly Rate, which ever is lower. Pricing is challenging to quote because most clients are not aware of the required additional schedules on their return, given their filing status, income levels, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CPA's are required to do 120 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) over 3 years... We do over 240 hours of CPE over 3 years! We do MORE continuing education than CPA's are required to do. Especially in tax updates, computer software training, and updates on topics that are pertinent to the industries of current clients. Over $20,000 has been invested in continuing professional education specific to the real estate industry (residential, commercial, land development, tax strategies, legal strategies, etc).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Loved accounting from the time I took my first bookkeeping class in high school, and was just naturally good at it. Doors of opportunity opened automatically, so I went with it.
