Introduction: I have a M.S in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Indiana University, and a B.A from the College of William and Mary in Economics. I have a lot of experience working with children in academic, social, and athletic environments - including a year of substitute teaching, a year as the STEM coordinator for my local Boys and Girls Club, and a year as an undergraduate math tutor. If your child needs an extra challenge to stay motivated, or a leg up to keep the pace, I am confident I can provide the missing link.
When I'm not working, I enjoy playing music (saxophone, flute, guitar, or piano), chess, basketball, making short films, and laser tag.
During the day I am a data analyst, with a focus on data manipulation and visualization. However, working one on one with students -- whether they are at the top of their class or being passed up by their peers, brings a unique satisfaction that I don't get in the tech world.
When I work with a student, I invest wholly in their success. Watching them grasp concepts, ask questions, and raise their G.P.A is a point of personal pride for me.
