These guys were amazing! On moving day, Blue, the crew leader, arrived and cheerfully introduced the four men who would be doing the move. He also announced his intention to beat the estimate I was given. After a quick but thorough review of everything they’d be moving, they got right to work. They were all extremely careful with my furniture, using shrink-wrap and pads to protect it. There were lots of oddly shaped pieces and different sized boxes, but they packed each item into the truck like Tetris champions. As the day progressed, the men checked in with me often to make sure I was happy with the way the move was going - which I was. I’m not sure how, but they all seemed to be enjoying the challenge of moving heavy furniture and boxes and doing it efficiently. They would stack boxes I couldn’t even push across the floor, lift the stack, and walk down the stairs without hesitation.
When they arrived at the new house, about 45 minutes away, they kept up the same level of energy until everything was reassembled and placed exactly where I wanted it. It was a difficult day for me, but Blue, José, Danny, Alex, and Louis acted like caring friends who were happy to help. One other thing - I forgot that I had hidden an envelope with emergency cash on top of my armoire. I was nowhere around when it fell off, but Jose found me and gave it to me, with all the money inside. I would recommend Best Cost to anyone looking for a positive moving experience. And, yes, they beat Eric’s estimate.
