- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Fill out the Info Request on our website --We will reach out to set up a time for you to visit the studio 2. Visit Innovative Music Studio - either in-person or online --This gives each of us a chance to get to know one another and to chat about lessons 3. Get ready for some great music! --Our students start playing familiar songs in their very first lesson!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching music in various capacities since 2000. This has included teaching piano lessons, voice lessons, harp lessons, and handbell lessons/workshops, leading children’s choir, directing three different handbell choirs, teaching workshops on music ministry. I adapt to the learning style and interests of each student, often developing creative ways to help them learn the music, theory and technique – including interactive games, visuals, worksheets, flashcards, etc. I also make sure to find repertoire for their favorite songs written at their level so that they are able to play music that they know and love. We choose our teachers based on their love for their music and their ability to impart excellent training and passion to their students!
