Top Rated Concrete Floor Leveling Contractors Around Ashburn, VA
I highly recommend EBRR and team to everyone. The team was always professional and on time. Ed Bilo takes great pride in his company and it is obvious he enjoys his work. The team was always sure to make certain the finished product was exactly what we wanted. EBRR is a one-stop shop- they are skilled in so many areas of property maintenance. We had them do flooring, outdoor landscaping, post construction cleaning and concrete repair. Ed Bilo was happy to help with whatever type of work we needed done around the house and provide ideas and expertise. We will be inviting them back to do future projects in our home without hesitation.
I was referred to Thumbtack by a co-worker after describing I had purchased the tile materials to re-tile a stand-up shower and a shower/tub combo. Matt was one of 5 contractors who responded within hours after my post and I was impressed with his credentials, pictures of jobs completed, and reviews. He met with me within 48, and we realized he had completed the tile floor work in my house for the previous owners nearly 5 years ago! The tile floor was a big selling feature for me back then and I was pleased when Matt could do the work I requested, for a very reasonable price, and he was able to start within a few days. Matt is prompt, meticulous, courteous, and was patient to answer my questions, and to do the work well and not rush to just finish
Because of a scheduling quirk in a kitchen remodeling project, we needed some spot demolition while our contractor was out of town. Dante took care of this work in outstanding fashion. 1. His crew did the work efficiently, safely, and carefully. Even though they were removing plaster, they were able to leave the site immaculate after taking the wall down. 2. Dante always responded in incredibly timely fashion, immediately answering all my e-mails, arriving early for the estimate and work appointments, and finishing the job for us on a very tight schedule. 3. FamilyBiz's estimate was very reasonable, almost half my other estimates. I recommend Dante wholeheartedly.
Christian Wells and his team are reliable, communicative, experienced, trustworthy and do great work. I had a large complete deck replacement by them and they customized so many parts of the project, including a custom lattice and cantilever solution. His team is so good that I recommended them to my condo board to perform roof replacement work for my townhouse condo association here in Dupont Circle, as well as recommending him as contractor for a new penthouse rooftop deck for another neighbor. Christian was awarded both contracts because everyone in my community saw how dedicated his team is and how good the work product is. I intend to use 5thGen Group for interior work, as well (we had a former lead contractor who was originally hired to transform both the interior and the deck, but proved unreliable and bailed on the deck job, so I used Thumbtack to find Christian/5thGen Group and I am so happy that I did!).
Concrete porch and step done nicely and timely. Well done!
We received outstanding work from Chris Harvey who performed as a General Contractor to reconfigure the backyard of my townhouse. This effort required building a three foot high cinder block wall at the end of my property, then leveling the yard which had a severe slope by back filling from the existing cement patio to the wall. He built a slate sidewalk from the patio to the wall, covered the patio in slate and built slate steps through the wall out to the walking path behind the wall. Chris had a cedar fence with gate built around the yard and then landscaped the yard with top soil, sod, rock, and plantings. It was done exactly as I asked and in a very timely manner with only interruptions for weather and two visits by Miss Utility. Chris is very sociable and easy to work with. He was present for each sub contractor as they started and completed their work. I highly recommend Chris Harvey Landscaping.
Installed 600+ sq ft of porcelain 1'x2' tiles on a basement concrete floor. Did a great job. Was on time and finished when agreed upon. Tile was even and the joint line are even at a great price. Would hire Leo Home Improvement again.
Victor provided powerwashing and landscaping services for me. My concrete patio courtyard has seen better days. I contracted with Victor and I must say he and his staff did an outstanding job! Nothing but rave reviews from my family and friends who saw the transformation. If you are in the need of power washing, new landscaping, you will not be disappointed. I wish I can show before and new pictures of my patio courtyard. Thanks Victor.
I hired GRG Landscaping to remodel a 40 year old retaining wall in my front yard - the wall is 50 feet long and 4 feet high at its tallest point - this was no small project! Ramiro and his team did a fantastic job! I was able to discuss my ideas on the new wall and materials with Ramiro - despite myself being a woman he did not take advantage of that and gave me technically sound advice and his pricing was very reasonable. His team was very self sufficient, hard working, and very respectful. The new wall came out beautiful! Since then I have hired GRG Landscaping for more work: tree/shrub removal, concrete walkway leveling, and fixing a basement retaining wall - I cannot wait for them to start! I highly recommend them for all landscaping work!
If you have a masonry project, small or large, Marco and GT Masonry is an excellent choice! We recently hired Marco to build a stone and paver-block terrace connecting our front and back yards. The project included concrete stairs, retaining walls, planter boxes and a lighting scheme. The finished project is just what we asked for! Work quality: Marco and his team are experienced craftsmen in many types of masonry materials. Our project included Nicolock paver-blocks, concrete and PA flagstone. The construction is sturdy and will last many years, it addresses water drainage concerns, and follows city/county code. Looks excellent! Professionalism: Marco handles all aspects of the business himself: issuing quotes, setting the scope of work, helping clients to pick out materials, coordinating with designers, managing a team of works and completing the construction. He is a top notch professional in all aspects of the job. Responsiveness: He gets an A+ here. For example, we had several delays in our project that were unrelated to Marco's performance. He was very flexible in working with our schedule and the lines of communication were always open. He is up front and true to his word. Value: We requested quotes from 10 different Masonry contractors. Marco offered the best price and demonstrated the greatest level of understanding about what we wanted to build and what tools and materials would be needed. Punctuality: Marco and his team were at our home everyday at 730am sharp. On days when other projects required priority he communicated the schedule in advance. Everyone had a smile on their face and took pride in their work. You can see it in the results! Many thanks, Rob and Cecilia
Gerson did an exceptional job fixing our tile. He made good recommendations that we hadn't even thought of. He cleaned up after he the job was completed. He went the extra mile and still charged the same quoted price.
I had feared the worst when we discovered water damage to our building just as winter was approaching. Happily Michael Carosi really knows his business. He identified the source of the problem, described what was needed and why and emailed me a written proposal on the spot from his smartphone. It was the best price and most comprehensive quote that I had received. His crew was there the following morning. In less a week they had excavated to the building's foundation, repaired the concrete footing, lined the area with waterproof membrane, refilled the excavated trench and made improvements to the brickwork of the adjacent walkway. All the right preparation was done: security ironwork on a ground level window removed to enable the digging and then reinstalled undamaged; the window protected with plywood during the job; the trench reinforced and the area marked off with cones and tape to prevent mishap. At the end of every day the site was put in order and at the end of the job everything was cleaned to better than original condition. I was kept informed of the schedule by text. I also received the photos Mike and his crew took at each stage of the work. The crew was prompt, polite and well-managed. What a wonderful experience to have a job done by true professionals. This house is in one of D.C.'s historic districts. It was built in the 1880's. It was a relief to know this was a job well done. Next Spring Mike and his team will be back to level and repave the front steps.
Shane did a great job repairing and finishing my ceiling drywall damage. It looks like new. Very courteous and personable. He obviously takes great pride in his work. I'm hiring him to do more work in my ceiling.
We selected Burch Masonry (Dion) to redo our concrete driveway. We received a couple of quotes from different companies and Burch's was the best overall. Dion did a phenomenal job that surpassed our expectations. He was reliable on timing and dedicated to a high-quality product in terms of the time he took to ensure proper leveling and drying. The finished concrete driveway looks amazing and has been much easier to drive on and free of pesky weeds. I highly recommend choosing them for your next project!
I am so glad we selected MJ Home Services LLC for our home's basement waterproofing project. We listed the project on Thumbtack and had 3 companies respond, MJ Homes Services was one of them. One of the other companies came with a complicated and insulting sales process, that had us spending two hours looking at few brochures and lots of out of business company records of former competitors while recommending options to leave our basement busted up with another project to renovate. MJ Homes Services was different. Apart from being the first to respond and show up for a free inspection, they were very professional and studied our home's problems in detail. They were genuinely interested in solving the problem, once and for all rather than just earning the business. They came out twice for pre project assessment. The owner of the company, John, came and lead the design of the solution to remedy our flooding problems. The solution was comprehensive tackling the problem from all directions e.g. Competitive French Drain Network, Landscape Grading, Awning Construction, Sump Pump flow redirection, Concrete Patio Demolition, Surrounding Neighbor Water Flow Analysis etc. When the project started, just like most constructions, the crew ran into issues with valid grounds for variation. Rather, Brian and the team under John's leadership took the professional route to honor their commitment to working within our budget. In fact, the crew were so professionally that they made innovative design and construction choices should have costed us about 5 thousands dollars more for the project. I could not help but think what would have happened if we went with the other company. They would have been so rigid on the approach and inflexible with scope. I have no doubt in my mind that MJ Homes Services was a God sent answer to our home's basement floodings problem because we had spent thousands over the years on different remedies including a complicated sump pump system with another company to no avail. Finally, when it comes to being responsiveness and customer delight, Melissa of MJ Home Services is the Queen of it. She kept us up to date before, during and at project completion. During the project, it was on a day-to-day basis. She was also able to work with the crew to achieve a scope that's truly above contract. I am very grateful to have MJ Homes Services work on our home project. I will certainly look forward to any opportunity to use their services in future.
I hired Gary and Dale to power wash my basement that was very stained and bad off, and to also landscape and take are of my yard. They did a great job!!! The basement concrete floor was thoroughly cleaned, and the yard looks great! They also hauled away old furniture and trash that I needed gone!! I would recommend them and their prices were reasonable! I will be calling again. Thanks Gary and Dale! Kathy
We recently had a complete kitchen remodel and are very happy with the results. We hired Dennis Gillooly of Trimline Construction as the general contractor. We were on a very tight budget and after pricing the options from a local cabinet supplier, Dennis suggested we look at using Ready to Assemble cabinets instead. He explained the various options and helped us with the design, layout, and ordering of these cabinets from an east coast supplier. This saved us more than 50% vs the original quoted cost from the local supplier! We got really nice cabinets at a fraction of the cost. Dennis put these cabinets together, installed them, helped us pick the perfect handles, installed those as well, and completed all the trim work to make the finished job look wonderful. We love our new kitchen it looks great! We also previously used Dennis Gillooly to finish our 1,200 sq foot basement. Dennis took care of managing everything including the design, framing, drywall, a full bathroom, kitchenette/bar area, a ton of storage closets including a cedar closet and custom shelving, the big recreation room, enclosed office space, new French doors, cutting in new windows in our concrete walls, and he personally installed 1,200 sq feet of engineered wood flooring throughout. We painted the basement ourselves in order to save money and found Dennis very willing to work with us to make such a large project both affordable but also exactly what we wanted.
I had a kitchen dining area with three old floors stocked on top of each other over the years since 1958 when the house was built. Julio and his crew did an phenomenal job removing the all floors and laying the new tiles. A three days work became much arduous than originally predicted due to the complexity of the cuts to lay tiles diagonal and the odd shaped area. Julio and his crew took the time to measure, cut and install each tile to perfection. The final product was beyond my expectation. This contractor is not only very professional and perfectionist but also very reasonable--despite the additional work and complexity encounter along the project the final cost did not increase a penny over the original quote. I would call Julio again for additional projects and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, honest and very reasonable home improvement contractor.
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
I had a great experience with Trench Flooring. His pricing is very fair and the tech that arrived was very easy to work with. I highly recommend this company and plan to work with them again.
We worked with Mr. Shearn(Ed)last year on our basement remodeling project. He transformed our concrete floor and exposed studs into a beautiful polished living area for our family. He was completely professional, offered a fair price for excellent work and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We would highly recommend him and will be using him for our next project!
