Started taking lessons here a few weeks ago after connecting via Thumbtack. I have never danced before in my life but was always interested in exploring the art. The team is very accommodating and took the time to really understand what my goals were before we started. Its been a great experience so far and really look forward to each lesson.

Gonzo helped me and my wife plan and practice our first dance. In addition he helped our parents with a few dance lessons as well. He was great to work with and we would definitely hire him again!

The brilliance of Judicita as a wedding choreographer and dance teacher is best conveyed by my husband, Andrew: I am a man who is terrified of dancing. In six weeks, Judicita took my dancing from "baby giraffe immediately after birth" to, as our wedding guests commented, "surprisingly not terrible" and "actually kind of really impressive." I did not want to jump out of a window at any point in the teaching process. Judicita was professional, empathetic, and effective both as a teacher and a choreographer. I am extremely happy with the services she provided and would recommend her in a heartbeat. I proposed to a woman of Puerto Rican/Peruvian background. She lives to dance. I was informed, lovingly and with zero wiggle room, that our first dance at the wedding would involve me doing salsa. Growing up, the blackest nightmares I ever had involved me trying and failing to dancing in front of all of my friends and family. So, choking down the terror, my then-fiancée and I contracted with Judicita to teach us (i.e. me) a choreographed 3-4 minute salsa dance. Judicita is--and I cannot stress this enough--extremely good a teaching. She has all of the normal, fundamental dance instructor skills: she's a talented dancer herself, she's very good at motion analysis and mechanics, and she's able to define and adjust choreography on the fly. But where she truly excels is her raw ability to teach. Rather than the familiar and irritating "Do this. No, like this. Point your toe more. No, like THIS. Watch me AGAIN" style of fussy instruction you get at many salsa rooms, Judicita is genuinely and patiently focused on teaching you to move. "That was great!" says Judicita with what feels like genuine excitement. "If you hold your chin a little higher the spin will be tighter, but you've really got the basic motion down!". She continually explained the "why" behind the motions, and let us learn at our own pace without getting hung up on perfection. We learned exactly what we needed for our dance. More importantly, I didn't feel like I was going to throw up from stress during lessons. I could list out many other positives: her quick and precise decisions on choreography--always listening closely to what we liked and didn't like; her flexibility in dealing with our schedule; her constant positivity and professionalism. In the end, we successfully pulled of an amazing first dance that was exactly what my bride wanted. Was I actually a born dancer? An unpolished diamond in the rough whose amazing skills were simply waiting to be discovered? A modern-day Patrick Swayze, if you will? This is what I'll keep telling myself. But the truth is, the only reason I walked out onto the floor excited, confident, and prepared, instead of nauseous and terrified, is because Judicita guided me there every step of the way. She should be teaching movie stars and professional competition dancers, instead of awkward dudes hoping to impress their partners. But thank God she does.

I signed up for personal salsa lessons and she's been extremely patient and knowledgeable. The curriculum she put together is tailored towards my style and there is a well-defined progression. She's easy going in her teaching style and fun to dance with. I highly recommend for lessons.

I was amazing! Forever Dancing Ballroom is like a partner dance sanctuary, and Fabio has so much knowledge in dance... I have taken private lessons before, but it does not compare. I have just bought 10 more lessons and I am looking forward to them. I feel inspired, empowered and motivated. I am also planning on attending some of their group classes and parties. The studio is clean, spacious, charming and unique. Parking was easy and free. The staff is courteous and the instructors look like “ dancing with the stars” professional dancers. I saw some very beginner students (wedding couples learning) and some very advanced (at least they look like that for me) and they all look very happy. Fabio magically solved (at the first 10 minutes of the lesson) some issues that I have been having with my dance since I started a couple of years ago. I wish I had started my first lesson with him.

About

For TENNIS volume of students I teach per week during the peak of summer in classes and small groups is 80 - 100. In BALLROOM DANCING student evaluations of past classes have praise our instruction skills. Class size has grown consistently from 8 originally to over 20. In PIANO I can incorporate simple composing technique (if desired) into the lesson structure to enhance learning in a creative way.

My husband and I are so glad we hired Kat to help us choreograph a surprise first dance routine for our wedding. Neither of us have any dance experience to speak of, and she was very patient with us while we stumbled through what I'm sure are very basic steps. She was able to gauge our abilities and our learning strengths very well, and above all, she was really honest about what we were doing well and what we needed to fix. Our guests were SO surprised to see what we had created with Kat - and we have so much fun with the process, from our first lesson to the final "performance." Would highly recommend Kat to anyone, even those with limited to no experience!

"I have made tremendous strides in a very short period of time and I am proud of my progress. I have quit smoking and drinking cold turkey. I released deep feelings of joy and sadness. I have had a consistent and reliable confidant that I can trust, gotten more organized in my business regimen and made strides in my relationship with my husband. I did it all and Deborah humbly supported me through the process. She surprised me and mailed me a gratitude journal which can be incorporated as a family tradition. She also took the time to research and send me additional holistic resources which can serve as helpful and inspiring tools for myself and others."she goes over and beyond and I am grateful for our relationship and look forward to building our relationship in the future

My experience dancing with and learning choreography from Brandy has been great. She is skilled in multiple genres of dance and is able to work with anyone from beginner to advanced levels. Brandy has a passion for and takes pride in what she does. She puts in the extra time to make sure you are comfortable with the choreography. Dancing with Brandy is an EXPERIENCE and I would gladly recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning the art of dance.

I've been taking ballroom dance lessons from Phil for over a year now. His lessons are full of great dance instruction, homework suggestions to improve in areas such as form and flexibility, and a few good jokes and laughs! He is very professional but also makes dance a fun experience. I highly recommend beginners and experienced dancers alike to take lessons from him!

I've been taking ballroom lessons with Ray for about 6 years. He's a fabulous instructor. Watching him dance is like viewing living art. In addition to time spent in class, he and some of his students gather to practice a couple of nights a month at a local ballroom, where he takes the time to dance with and coach his students. Dance students of all levels would benefit from his instruction.

About

The Ferocity Dance Company was founded in 2012 and focuses on Bachata Fusion pieces: mixing ballroom as well as other dance styles with Bachata to create a distinct viewpoint and style. The Ferocity Dance Company houses three other franchise bachata dance teams, and has also grown to have a competitive group that performs Bachata pieces to compete in National and International competitions. The mission statement of the Company is: Fierce Is For Everyone. It is our hope that through constant support for the dance community, friendly behavior on and off the dance floor, and a distinct respect for all dance styles, that we can create a safe environment for all to learn and enjoy dancing. Whomever wants to be family, can be. Most of the students that attend Ferocity are currently performers or striving performers. Students can be seen anywhere from once a week to seven times a week - it depends on how many teams and workshops they attend! We pride ourselves on offering teams that have different bachata styles so that our dancers learn new things, new styles, and new perspective!
