This is my first time using Thumbtack and honestly, I am really satisfied with water heater installation from Walter. Our Water heater was leaking (19 years old) and needed immediate replacement since it was leaking. I was calling all over for the contractors for prices and they all ranged over $1000. Also, other contractors were willing to charge extra fees and unnecessary county code. Walter was professional and very kind. He explained in details about the water heaters and purchasing county code is not necessary. He also showed up at home depot 7 in the morning and picked all the necessary parts and water heater. All I needed to do was to make the purchase. Also, he delivered water heater to my home AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. He finished the work in a timely manner and cleaned up well. I am REALLY satisfied with his service. Walter is going to my plumber and I am going to introduce him to my friends and neighbours. His labour cost is very affordable and reasonable compare to other contractors. I was able to save hundreds of dollars in labour cost. Overall you will never regret hiring Hi solution and Walter is the guy. He is a licensed contractor.
Luis is very responsive, prompt, and reasonably priced. I contacted him and he came the next day to repair and paint the trim on my home. My house looks 100% better thanks to Luis and his team. I definitely recommend his services and will be hiring him again for future projects.
Carlos and his crew did an outstanding job in power washing my home's siding and painting the exterior trim, deck and rails. I received three other estimates and Coloramma offered the best pricing with high quality materials and experienced professionals. I would recommend Coloramma without hesitation! Michelle
Jose was really great and professional from start to finish. I needed some masonry repair on the side of my house, and he was very knowledgeable including doing some soil re-grading for water management. I decided to have him take care of some other tasks as well in the yard (removing planters, powerwash and staining deck) and we agreed on a fair packaged price. He stayed in easy communication the whole time through text/phone/email, and he paid attention to small details (painting a leftover windowsill black to fit in, adding sand to existing brick patio) to make sure everything turns out well. Definitely recommend!
After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.
We had 2 full size and 1 powder room that needed wallpaper removed, drywall repaired, and painted. Everything went as planned for a reasonable price. Some older window dressing hardware that was left by the previous owner was not addressed. Would have been nice if they had clarified, but I'll take the blame for not being specific about it. The paint looks great, and the job was finished within the estimated time. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
Stewart takes a lot of pride in his work. It definitely showed with the project he completed for me. He painted my entire house with doors and trim along with the exterior door, shutters, and trim. He was also able to fix all the cracks and issues with my drywall. He was also able to replace some rotted trim on my outside front windows. He discovered a soft spot in my subfloor and was able to replace it for me because it definitely was a major issues. We were very thankful to have hired Stewart and his company to make the necessary repairs to our home. We will definitely refer his company to our family and friends and use him again in the future.
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.

Requested exterior painting. Repair guy, Mike, came by and, before beginning to paint, did an inspection of the areas around the bay window, garage and door surfaces which required painting. He noticed areas that needed caulking touch ups before painting to reinforce those areas. After touching up those areas, he completed the painting, It was a thoroughly professional job and within budget (reasonably priced) and 3 hours.
Mr. Rahman came to my house, and within 30 minutes had diagnosed every problem I threw at him. He sent me an estimate that night, and it came in below what I was expecting to pay. He then came back 4 or 5 times over the course of the next few weeks, working around our schedules, to get the job done. Mr. Rahman is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of drywall and water damage. You won't regret bringing him in to look at your problem. Kevin E
Mr. Cuello has done several projects for me. Designed and built a deck in a problem area; the results admired by many. He not only painted my living and dining room, but also chose the color scheme: excellent all around! He hired an excellent sub-contractor to install recessed lighting in my living and dining areas - excellent job. His work is impeccable and he is wonderful to work with - so patient!
We were looking for new flooring to be installed in our entry and kitchen. Andre came out with an estimate and listened to our ideas about taking the kitchen reno just a little bit further. We wanted to get rid of the large Florescent light in the kitchen. Andre suggested he could install in-ceiling lights. We were on a tight schedule to get this done and Andre made sure he scheduled us for the week that we requested. He and his team did a great job getting our lights installed, our floors installed, and making sure that everything was back in place before they finished. Andre and Amilcarr are very personable and friendly, making sure we understood what they were doing on each step of the installation. They did a fabulous job and we're planning our next step in renovation to be suing Traylor Design & Construction as our go-to contractors.
Mike and his partner, Don, were great. Mike did some extra reinforcement framing around the dog door they installed just to make sure it was solid. Don has a background in outdoor landscaping and identified and fixed a broken hose on my fish pond when I mentioned something was not working right, even though that wasn't part of the original scope of work for the day. These guys are flexible, friendly, and really good at what they do. Which appears to be just about everything!
Ivan and his crew completed a major overhaul of our home (complete renovation of two bathrooms, drywall installation, painting, removed drop ceilings, installed crown molding, etc). His attention to detail is incredibly impressive and he and is crew were clean and very respectful of our space as we lived here during the updates. Ivan is easy to work with and I've recommended him several times over to friends who need work done as well. I highly recommend him to anyone needing small to big projects complete. You won't be disappointed!
Mr. Brown responded very early with a reasonable quote for my repair which was an emergency. He was professional and courteous and possessed excellent knowledge of the materials needed to complete the job and had a wealth of information regarding the repair, recommending the best option for completion. He also did some drywall repairs while he was here which was not on the original work request. His work is meticulous. He truly cares about the work that he does and ensures that the customer is sastified. I will not hesitate to use Mr. Brown for any future home repairs.
Yosif combined an existing bathroom and two closets to make a larger, completely remodeled bathroom. This project required closing off an existing door and removing a short wall. He worked with us to come up with three different remodeling options, and after we chose the option we liked best he completely demolished the 1941-era existing bathroom, removed the debris, and completed the installation of the new bathroom, including new flooring, tiled walls, a walk-in shower, a tub, a double vanity, commode, and medicine cabinets. He covered over the unwanted doorway and painted the new bathroom. In some cases, he worked with other technicians when needed. He also arranged for frameless glass doors to be installed as a shower surround. The result is truly stunning! It exceeds our highest expectations. Yosif's tile work is meticulous. He laid the marble floor tile in a beautiful herringbone pattern and created custom-designed niches in the shower and tub areas. Everything, from the lighting to the flooring to the smallest detail, was handled with professionalism and skill. Yosif completed the work to the highest standards, and we are delighted to recommend him.
I highly recommend Pure Clean Power Washing. Patrick Smith and his crew handled our powering washing (2 story deck, 3 level TH, patio and driveway), stained and sealed the deck, and even helped us to replace our exterior vents with 100% customer satisfaction. Our neighbors were also very impressed with his superior work quality and work ethic and hired him on the spot. He handled all of the jobs with 5 gold stars. He also guaranteed his work. If you are in search of an enterprising and responsive company to handle your power washing and or deck staining needs, your search ends with Patrick Smith and Pure Clean Power Washing.
Hired Gary and his guys to do a tile backsplash in the kitchen and put up a wood accent wall kit in the bedroom. Both projects turned out amazing! They were a pleasure to deal with and communicated with us throughout the project. I will definitely be hiring Gary again for upcoming projects.
Edgar was very responsive and guided me through the entire process. His quote indicated it would take seven working days to complete - his team completed the project on Day 6. His team was very flexible, especially since the job was done during unfavorable weather conditions. His team did a very good job. However, the final price was a lot more than the original quoted price due to unforeseen complications involving the unit, and the fixtures he had bought were not the exact ones I had put on a list or wanted. Overall, I'm satisfied with the overall result.
Job was a renovation of a 1970's SFD that had been a rental for 10 yrs; Mike was originally hired to change a drop ceiling and complete some interior renovations. Mike did an excellent job of accommodating my clients ever changing needs. He went beyond expectations by suggesting minor (but significant) changes the client hadn't thought of to get the best return on her money. The quote he gave was extremely competitive and the owner decided to hire him for the exterior work (siding, window installation) as well. The work was much more than originally projected due to the "previous" repairs made throughout the house and Mike worked with the Seller not to gauge her with the price. As a Realtor I'm confident to recommend Mike as a Contractor and in his ability to "get the job done" and communicate throughout the entire process; he has an eye for detail too.
