Gregg Rocks! I hadn't played guitar in about 10 years and had forgotten almost everything I knew. After a few fun, informative, fast and simple lessons with Gregg I was totally back up to speed! After a few more lessons I was playing better than I ever had before!
My 11 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Mike of G4 guitar in Frederick since September. Mike is an excellent teacher and guitar player. He has a lot of patience and experience. My son had very little experience playing the guitar, I am amazed by how much better he sounds and how much Mike has taught him. I highly recommend Mike at G4 Guitar!
Our boys are really enjoying their guitar and drum lessons so far, and are excited about practicing and playing their new instruments.
Morgan is a great guitar teacher. I have taken lessons off and on since 1972. That's a long time. Each time the teacher would show me some dreaded "music theory". I always resisted and just went to "show me the chords...show me the licks." Guess what? Morgan got through to my hard head after all these years. His method of showing theory is reasonable and logical and I FINALLY got it!! Hooray! The benefits of understanding the WHY behind the guitar and not just the HOW are ENORMUS. I Highly recommend Morgan.
Don knows his stuff, he's easy to get along with and overall a really nice guy. He has an impressive repertoire of musical skills and a lifetime of experience in music to draw from. As far as instruments he can play a little bit of everything, he can basically teach you any instrument you'd find in a regular rock band, folk, country, pop, blues etc. He's probably most proficient on the guitar and piano but he also knows quite a lot about vocals. If you struggle with theory he does a great job demystifying some of the fundamentals of music theory that are useful to beginners. Whether you're an absolute beginner or long time musician Don will be able to help you out. Highly recommend.
I've been playing acoustic guitar for the past 7 years, but never took lessons or learned any theory, which led me to hit a plateau and a loss of interest. After a couple of sessions with Stevie, I was able to connect previous experience with new guitar knowledge in order to play more creatively and have more fun doing so.
I have studied guitar with Maurice Arenas for several years. He has taken me from a beginner to a soon Bachelor of Music graduate. Along the way he has taught me everything from McCartney to Mozart to Monk, all with the same high level of expertise. His vast repertoire is complimented by his virtuoso technical skill and tasteful musicianship. Maurice has been an excellent mentor to myself and others and develops his lessons according to individual learning styles. I have never had a more positive guitar experience.
I have been very happy with the guitar instruction that my son has received from Brain. He is a creative and patient teacher that really takes an individual interest in the student. Highly recommended !
I got my first guitar last Christmas (at 52!) and thought I'd take a couple of lessons to get started. I saw Bill's ad, liked what he had written (though I have to say I was a little skeptical) but thought, probably no harm in taking a couple lessons and then doing the rest on my own with free YouTube videos. Well, here I am, almost one year and 52 lessons later, playing guitar like I never dreamed possible! And no YouTube in sight. Nothing but Bill Twilde's exceptional guitar teaching and mentoring. You know, you come across true teachers like this once, maybe twice in your life. I wasn't even sure I could form a single chord with my fingers. But because of Bill's gentle, intuitive guidance, I learned I can do more than I ever thought possible! Ok, I guess I'm gushing now but it's kind of hard to stop. He's really that good. Go see him play out somewhere in the meantime, and imagine taking lessons from someone who is also that great a performer. Been an awesome experience for me and can hardly wait to start year two!
I have been playing guitar since 1972 and wanted to learn a few different approaches to the way I perform my songs. Larry was glad to assist me in enhancing my performances,
I have known Joanna for over 30 years now, and know that even back then she had a sheer musicality both at guitar and keyboards. Her handling of elementary school students of any grade when teaching, then middle school and older, was always carefully measured, often catering to individual needs in order to bring out or focus musical gifts, or simply to raise the level of a student's appreciation for art. She has kept that measure of regard for students of all ages since she went into non-school teaching. I also would assure anybody who wants to send a younger student to her that if after an appropriate period of time she felt they were not progressing or that music was perhaps not a good fit for them that she would be honest about that to the parents rather than have anybody waste time and resources trying to engage a child with other interests. But her goal has always been, as I have observed, to find a way to engage them in the first place. Results and honesty, as well as musical passion. What more need be said. (Please know that as a professional musician myself that this is as unbiased an opinion as I can possibly render.)
Always a great pleasure to work with! I've been taking guitar lessons with Zachary for about a year now, and there is really no better teacher around. He is a great classical talent and has so much to offer a student. Five stars!

It has been a joy working with Brandon! He is always on time and challenges my son, appropriately, with his guitar progress. Brandon is very warm and engaging, always keeping us parents update on how the sessions are going. We recommend Brandon!
Andrew is an excellent guitar and music theory teacher. He knows how to explain theory in a way which is thorough, but also understandable and fun. He is always very punctual, friendly, patient, and accommodating. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Max Kuzmyak is a very knowledgeable musician with a large skill set that is useful in the music industry. He can teach trumpet, guitar, voice, and has extensive theory knowledge as well. He is also well versed in recording and audio engineering. Max is very friendly, easy to work with, and professional. I would highly recommend working with him if you are looking for a private teacher, or a recorder.

I try hard to bring out the best in people and give out positive energy. I truly believe that music can heal people. It certainly has helped me.
As a beginner, I was in search for a patient and dependable guitar instructor. Bernardo went above and beyond to ensure my learning experience was fun and productive. He did not bog me down with technicalities alone but rather instilled a sense of listening needed for aspiring musicians to succeed. Most importantly, he taught me the value of being responsible for my own learning experience, I took his advice seriously and excelled. Thank you Bernardo!
