Training with Jenise (BodyByJenise) has changed my life for the better! From the past two months I've worked out with her, I've definitely seen a huge difference in my body, eating habits, and overall energy. I use to workout in college but never remained consistent. I ended up gaining a lot of weight when I got out of college and never lost it. My husband and I trained with Cornelius for three months, twice a week for an hour and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made. Cornelius not only helped us reach out weight loss goal, but also taught us about diet and healthy living. He remind us to stay focused, eat right, drink water and get in our daily exercise. He got my husband's weight down 20 pounds in 12 weeks and helped him gain muscle with no real big change in diet. Training with Cornelius is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. Chris helped me train for about a month and I have learnt so much from the sessions. He taught me the basics of strength training and how I could combine that along with my cardio sessions. I was getting very bored of my treadmill and Chris encouraged me to try new techniques to boost my training so that i could get a kick out of my work outs! He introduced me to circuits. During the trainings he kept me motivated and pushed me to work hard. I toned my body doing just those exercises. He was a great trainer and kept me motivated all through.
I have been working with Anthony for a couple weeks now and have really enjoyed it. He is great for all levels. Every class I get a mix of circuits, cardio, kickboxing, wrestling, etc. Each class is exciting because it's never the same. I've known Kristin both professionally and personally for the better part of a decade now. She is one of the happiest, most energetic, outgoing human beings I've met. She's dependable and motivating. Simply, Kristin is the type of person you want to surround yourself with - especially while trying to achieve personal goals. I have always been an active person but hit a wall with workouts as my job become more time consuming. I have limited time and was looking for the best "bang for my buck." I was also simply bored doing the same routines time and time again. And to add to that, I was trying to loose body fat and build muscle... while training for a long distance running race. Not the easiest task, but I knew exactly who I was going to for help... At the time, Kristin was in FL, and I was living in VA. We setup a consultation and she immediately helped create an awesome plan tailored to my needs and goals. It was exciting to have something new and planned! The new moves were practical, not intimidating (but VERY challenging), and they were all planned and mapped out, so they didn't require too much brain power. I felt like I could just take the workout sheet she wrote for me and go to the gym without thinking, which was a huge bonus for me. I followed Kristin's custom 12 week plan and followed some of her nutrition suggestions. Did I do every workout or complete every rep? Nope. Did I rule out all junk food or wine? Nope. But by following her advice even 80% of the time, I lost over 2% body fat and PR-ed in a 10 mile race. Even being states away, Kristin was my accountability partner. I've been working with Steve for about 2 years now and have noticed great improvements. For me, we generally do a full body workout in a circuit-style training. Recently I've told him about my lower back pain and he's catered the exercises and stretches to help with that. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to fitness and he'll work with you to figure out what is best for your body and your goals. He's also very flexible with hours which is great with my work hours. He'll also work with your diet and give suggestions for food choices and lifestyle changes so that you can meet and maintain your fitness goals. If you're looking for a personal trainer, especially if it's your first time, I would definitely suggest considering Steve.
Timothy is Arguably the best personal trainer in Columbia, MD area. I explained my fitness goals, and within the first few sessions, I could see results. Timothy explained clean eating, calorie intake along with proper fitness training. I lost more than 20 lbs, reducing my body fat and increase my muscle tone. I have met my fitness goals and very pleased with my results.
A year ago I decided I wanted to get fit, while I was still healthy enough to consider it. I joined Fitness Evolution gym and signed up for training and that's how I met Emmanuel. At 51 years old it was a daunting task to get me to a fitness level where i could actually last in the gym for an hour, and Emmanuel (I call him E!) patiently worked with me every step of the way on the circuit equipment, explained to me which areas the machines were working on and made certain I knew the goal was to work with free weights and not rely on the equipment as much as I progressed towards fitness. He was meticulous concerning explaining the changes I could anticipate and how important a change in diet was to an overall total fitness. He walked me through a lifestyle change which has now become how I am in the world, I ran my first 5K last September, will run it again this month and am training for my first 10K to be run in October. I've lost a total of 65 pounds since I started this journey and have kept it off for a year. Emmanuel is a trainer with integrity and i had a few issues at Fitness Evolution that did not reflect his level of care and concern for his clients, still I stayed with E because of the type of trainer and all around good person he is.
Juned was super professional met me out with all the equipment I just brought shorts and a water bottle, and for an hour I was given a complete crash course on physical training and assessment. I have since signed with him for 3 months and have lost 34 lbs and can't thank him enough for the guidance and work!
One of the best trainers I've had whether it be the workouts, nutrition, mobility, mentality...Supper humble guy, he has tons and tons of knowledge. In my opinion he is a master trainer in weight lifting, mobility, circuit/ endurance training. I'd recommend him to anyone, males, females, young and old looking to make a change to their physical or mental health!
Leo works out my 13 year old son and me using a form of circuit training. He also works out my son on our driveway basketball court for fitness and for skill improvement. I have found Leo to be perfect. He knows the level to work you, changes the routines each visit, and presents a quiet, mature, intelligent and confident demeanor. The results have been great. He also focuses on safety first at all times. I could not give Leo a higher rating.
I was being trained by Catherine years ago and I said something about " No pain, no gain " as she corrected my posture during the routine. She quickly said that no one should experience "pain" when working out. I knew then that I had FINALLY found a REAL trainer. Catherine's training and professional skills are unmatched. She simply loves doing what she does and it shows. She trains you according to your skill level and ability, and she is never distracted by today's tech gadgets ,( cellphones) which means you get 100% of her time, every time. I moved out of state for a short time and invited Catherine down for a visit and workout of course. she could not out run me on the beach, but she whipped my butt in the gym , but they were good workouts. Later on during her visit, she took me to the market and taught me how to properly shop for quality organic foods , and quickly made a knock out dish for me and my friend as we looked on and took notes. I moved back to the DMV area, reconnected with her and now I am receiving weekly healthy meals from her. Boy is that a relief. And knowing that she is a certified nutritionist only adds to her credibility. In short, if you are looking for true quality in a trainer as well as someone too cook healthy meals for you, Catherine is the hands down choice and that's why I give her 5 stars. Great work out! I did a weight training class and the fat burning circuit workouts. She pushed me to the limit in each class. I was surprised to see what I could do but the workouts were also challenging enough that she was able tonuncovered my weakness and gave me tools to improve.
High impact, and great intensity!! The trainer provided exceptional support and direction through each circuit. Will definitely attend again

Daniel is very detail orientated. He takes the time to explore all aspects of his clients needs. He is motivating, personable and the most caring trainer I have ever worked with. I've worked with Ray most recently as my personal trainer for over two years and prior to that as a student in a fitness program he brought to the teachers of Fairfax County public schools. As a retiree I had some insecurities in terms of fitness and turned to Ray in an effort to get fit enough to join classes and feel confident. Ray was and continues to be sensitive to my individual needs in fitness. As a senior citizen it would have been easy to back off any challenging programs but Ray sees something in me that motivated a long hidden athlete (of sorts). Although my goal was weight loss it soon became clear that the most important goal is a heightened level of strength and fitness as I enter my senior years. We work with a program based on Cross Fit. What keeps me motivated is the dynamic aspect of each workout. I like being surprised by new routines and like to try different activities. I work out at a high intensity (and never would on my own) for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. We mix cardio with strength training in all sorts of combinations. I'm always shocked at what he manages to get me to do. Ray is also very understanding of the issues of "old" bodies" and with his background of physical therapy can accommodate any workout to whatever ails you so there are no excuses not to work out. He is also very tuned into nutrition and even took the time to take me grocery shopping one day to help stock up on more appropriate food choices. With Ray and his program there is so much more than meets the eye. He's dedicated, responsible, respectful, reliable and compassionate. He makes me keep coming back. Which, on some days is no easy task for this 67 year old. He's even made a believer and devotee of my 74 year old former hockey playing, no nonsense husband. He wouldn't miss his sessions with Ray. One goal has been accomplished so far in my fitness journey. I can easily participate in fitness classes. But the sense of accomplishment and pride I feel after my individual sessions with Ray keeps me coming back. He's a gem!
These two alone are two of the best trainers I've ever come across but when they combined forces to provide me with new & excellent training skills, they're unstoppable. Met them after our first physique competition June 22, 2013. I worked with them for a duration of 3 months and with a couple tweaks in my diet & new outdoor circuits, by the end of my summer (2013) I couldn't believe the growth in strength and density my muscle retained. I owe these two a lot for opening my eyes to new and advance methods of training
Before training with Bill, I trained on my own using a Starting Strength-type program for a few months. After a while, I began to stall on all the lifts, and couldn't progress. I felt I needed an experienced lifter to give me some pointers and get me past my plateau. Bill has done just that, in addition to teaching me the power lifts, which I was too intimidated to try on my own. He's very good at explaining what he sees and giving you just enough to think about on the next set to improve. His rates are also quite reasonable.
In February, I started working with Ken three times a week. He put together different workouts that worked on areas to target my mobility and strength. While at first, my goal was to get through the workout without having to stop, Ken now uses his creativity to make the progression moves harder, work every possible muscle, and get closer to my goals. Every day is different- in addition to circuit training, we have incorporated boxing, higher weights, and agility and footwork. I am still sore after each workout- that good sore, where you know you have put in work. When we reassessed after 5 weeks, I had gained 2 pounds of lean muscle, lost pounds of fat, and lost almost 7 percentage points of body fat. I have now upped to 4 times a week and absolutely look forward to my sessions every single time. I do my part- I show up and work hard, but I 110% attribute my results and gains, no matter the size, to Ken. Obviously the workouts show his knowledge of training, but more than that, they show his passion. Even if he writes in a move, he will often change it on the fly to make it more fun or utilize the equipment we have on hand to make it a total full body move. I sometimes have even heard other trainers say "I wish I had thought of that- I am going to use that move!" Having a trainer is investing in a relationship- and you need someone who invests back. I know that he genuinely wants to see me succeed- and nothing is cooler seeing him jump with excitement when I was able to do not 1- but 5 full pushups- at the end of the workout. His positive attitude and passion is contagious, and when you combine that with his knowledge of fitness and training- you really can't ask for more.
I trained with BYD’s Head Trainer, Sean Berard for nearly four years, from late 2000 until mid 2004. During my time training with Sean, not only did he help me to go from 180 lbs. at 6’ 4” to a toned and muscular 215 lbs. at the same height, but he also taught me how to lift and exercise properly, and how to make the most of my efforts in the gym. He helped me to learn a very powerful workout schedule to achieve the goals I have, and I still use that same workout to this day, nearly four years after training with Sean. I have never had a workout related injury, thanks in part to the techniques that I learned from training with Sean. In addition, I learned how to use supplements to add to the work I put in at the gym. Sean’s training comes with my highest recommendation!
