As someone who is deaf with theater passions and acts a strong advocate, I love to inspire others to see the beauty of both deafness and ASL. As English is my first language, I specialize in English word play humor. As such, I approach ASL with an arts and deaf culture approach rather than vocabulary-building. Because I have taken Structures of ASL and English, I am qualified to teach sessions on a non-licensed basis. I also learned from personal and academic experiences about communication challenges, and am able to support those with special needs.
I do hold a Master's degree holder in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with over 3.5 GPA. This gave me expert-level analytical skills that I applied in over ten years of educational experiences in various realms. Example key areas include college teaching assisting, tutoring, content developing, virtual scoring and resources-providing to all ranges of student populations. I take pride in the wealth of experiences I have gained in a short period of time.
The first meeting will be free, unless it is urgent in which discounted rates will take place instead. This meeting will be to discuss your needs, goals, background, and the specific ways I can assist you. Then we will determine together whether the services will be fund-based, a set rate that is negotiated, or a pre-paid discounted rate. I also offer a flat-free formal report of additional resources within your community to practice what is done in our sessions as I have phenomenal internet research skills.See more
