Maria Portrait Photography did the Easter pictures for my children. She took us to a park that we had never been to before and was able to get pictures that was need in about 90 minutes. Maria Portrait was wonderful with the kids. She got down on their level, was willing to literally get down on the ground to get the pictures she wanted to get, and she made the kids feel right at home and was able to capture their personalities perfectly. I was able to see a sneak preview that night, and was able to get the complete shoot in about a week's time. Even that was with a personal touch. We met in person and went through everything. She explained her new products, what I could get with my money, and never pressured me with one certain package. I highly recommend and you will not be disappointed!!

I am an artist and Maria photographed my art for sale. She captured the colors perfectly with a trained eye from years of being a portrait artist herself. She is among the top photographers I know. Her use of light and color is exceptional. I do not trust many people to handle my art, but with Maria I was more than pleased with the result! We have joined Maria for a couple of mini-sessions, which are private, themed shoots (with adorable props and backgrounds) and we will again and again! She was early, took her time getting the shots she and we wanted, and was very patient with my young kiddos. The turn-around was quick and the pictures are definitely the best we have EVER had taken! Worth the investment.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Maria and Maria Portrait Photography. Maria was attentive and listened to what I was hoping for and exceeded my expectations. She is always willing to collaborate and run with any idea I may come up with. Personally she is a true professional who is easy to work with. She has a calm, relaxed demeanor that puts my little one at ease as she is taking pictures. The end product is wonderful and I recommend her to anyone who ask me who took my little ones pictures. Each time we have pictures planned I am excited and know we will continue to work together for as long as she is taking pictures!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not complicated. The session fee is $99 per hour. The digital image package is $350. you can count on at least 20 images per hour. The images you get are high-resolution and artistically-edited.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I take classes with other photographers in Kansas City. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Art.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was very similar to portrait painting, but I get to meet more people and have more fun.
