FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always work with my customers to establish a pricing system that works for their budget, keeping in mind that professional fees often run too high for many individuals and small businesses to afford. Much of my experience has been with individual, free or freelance work for my friends and colleagues. I have also researched and written grant proposals for a museum with eight-digit budgets for private and government grants. My pricing fits the level of experience I have to offer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is the most important priority, in my opinion. I prefer to have clear and fair plans before the project begins. As I work with a customer, I am happy to be flexible and work with new or updated material. What is most important to me is that a customer receives the end-product they desire.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed an internship in Development with the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where my training was concentrated in grant writing. Further, I am completing an MFA in Creative Writing, which has prepared me for professional and creative writing projects. My fiction has been published by numerous journals, and is forthcoming from the North American Review, the oldest literary journal in America.
