Introduction: I come with a medical background vs a social work background, so in nursing you get a little of everything - medicine, social work, psychology, so I have a broader brush. I like being able to help people see themselves as "normal" that what they're dealing with is normal. I like to see as they work through and process through their feelings and the thoughts they have to deal with and make headway. I like seeing people get better.

I believe it is very important that clients pay for my service, but I want them to be able to afford it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely, I go to many types of continuing education to do with bereavement and grief. I am always trolling looking for new books and theories on grief and loss. I have people I follow.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I felt really drawn to it. I started out in mental health and seeing how grief and loss was part of that and then transitioned to labor and delivery and saw grief and loss there and started connecting early in student life that people had losses that they dealt with over and over again.
