- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk on the phone first and get a feeling for what the customer is looking for see if we could be a good fit together. Talk about their short term and long term fitness goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. In addition to this I'm a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have worked in the fitness profession for 3 years. 2 years as a collegiate sports performance specialist, 1 year as a personal trainer and group fitness coach.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a desk job straight out of college and really struggled with the sedentary nature of it. I saw how my fellow employees had chronic pain due to this environment and it drove me to become certified as a personal trainer. I wanted to help others reach their fitness goals while also educating them on ways to alleviate common chronic issues that are the product of our lifestyles.
