FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
People need the biggest bang for the buck, I get that! When you are spending money on a service that we provide, it is not taken lightly that this is sometimes from loans they had to get, borrowed and owed to someone, or even saved for by someone who has been waiting to afford to be able to have this work done. We strongly feel we are not trying to get rich off of one job, we are just trying to make enough to see that everyone is paid and overhead covered, and hopefully a little ends up in the pocket. We are happy to break a project into phases to help with not having to pay so much in one lump. We are very competitive in pricing, and in return, we just hope you will pass our info on to family and friends. We run discounts on a bi monthly bases and always offer savings just for choosing us through Thumbtack!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Ha Ha, this feels like a loaded question... I have been in this industry for my entire adult life- over 20 years, and I still get customers that surprise me. I have learned through experience that I may not always end with every customer wanting to be my best friend when the job is complete. That is okay. As long as I have done all in my ability to ensure that I have provided the best service, and the end product is something not only the customer can be proud to have, but is also something that I am proud of also then sometimes it is okay if our personalities aren't a match made in Heaven. I have also learned that sometimes customers are indecisive and change their mind 100 times before the project is done, and some know exactly what they want and are checking every step along the way to see if I am matching their vision. There is no wrong way for a client to be. And no matter which end of the spectrum you might fall, my only concern is providing the best service and end result in my power. After all, you are the one who has to look at/ use the space every day, not me.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently was tasked with scraping popcorn ceilings off in 2 rooms, applying texture and painting the ceilings. so I prepped off the entire 2 rooms by moving furniture, tape and plastic had to be applied to everything- the walls, floors, furniture, everything. I scraped the 20+ year old ceilings, allowed to dry, applied texture and got it all even and looking good, allowed to dry, and painted with Touchups. I cleaned up all of my mess and removed all of the plastic and tape from everything I started 8a on Tuesday, had to quit when it was time to allow for dry time, returned Wed morning and was cleaning up Wednesday late afternoon. Though there isn't a set amount of time this should take because each job has different things that affects time lines, this job went as smooth as one could hope and the end result was some of my best work. I take pride in providing top notch work in a timely manner. I felt this job represented this.
