Introduction: Hola and ciao, I am a language instructor with over 30 years of experience. I teach exclusively online via Zoom. (I am in the central time zone.) I have degrees in Spanish, Italian and French and an MA in Linguistics. I have studied at an advanced level in Italy three times and had to use my Spanish at many different jobs. I have been teaching Italian at La Causerie language institute since 2008. I have taught adult ed classes for a local community college and the city. I was a teaching assistant in the Italian, Spanish and Linguistics departments at The University of North Texas. I have been teaching for so long I have a large collection of books and other materials and design the majority of the lessons that I use. I admit it, I am a language nerd. I am fascinated by foreign languages and love studying and teaching them. I knew from my very first Spanish class when I was in the 8th grade that I wanted to be a language teacher and while I was in college I took every foreign language class that I could get into my schedule. I love helping others that are interested in learning another language.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first hour is $40/hr. 90 minute lessons are discounted to $50. If a student would like 2+ lessons/week additional lessons are discounted to $30/hr.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start off with all my new students learning what their background is with any foreign language studied. I also like to go over goals, learning style, reasons for studying the language and how much time the student has to dedicate to the language learning process both in and out of our scheduled lessons. This helps me design a plan that best serves the needs of the individual student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have degrees in Spanish, Italian and French with a Masters in Linguistics. I have been teaching Spanish since 1988 and Italian since 2000.
