Introduction: As a trainer in movement and healing arts, I want to help you feel better. How your body moves directly impacts the quality of your life. An integrative approach of training, yoga and somatic movement will help you build a strong foundation. Somatic movement is about practicing your body (Soma) by sensing how your unique body feels while in motion. With care and curiosity, we come to our body experience with the possibility for re-connection and repair of our energy and emotions. Somatic movement uses your brain to change your pain. Integrated somatic training (IST) is effective because it engages all body systems, to create a receptive state for the body to begin. IST invites self-inquiry: How is my body now? What needs strengthening, activation, or rest? We’ll explore what kind of movement works for you. Integrated somatic training is a holistic approach that guides you to PRACTICE YOUR BODY at your pace. Return to movement that is natural and sustainable! Training Philosophy: Emovere´ is the Latin word meaning, "to emote, move out." There is a movement pattern for every action and emotion. In our modern world we’re surrounded with a heightened awareness of mental health issues, physical challenges, and traumas. At the cellular level illness and trauma become stuck in our body. The body knows and feels this. Energy is movement -a pathway of release and recovery, that can transform into medicine for physical and mental health. Thinking of movement as medicine is a new way of observing how we are thriving, moving in our body, and how we can connect to healing. OFFERINGS: TFL - Yoga: Beginner / Basics: An active class focused on teaching correct form and breath work. Hatha Yoga: Slower paced class, but still active. Aclass that is accessible to all levels. “Hatha” is a broader term describing an physical style of yoga, when its listed on a schedule it usually means you can expect to hold postures for a longer period of time than a Vinyasa class. Soma-Strength: Get the benefits of a strength workout with some weights combined with benefits of slow/eccentric movement and breathwork, and ending with mindful rest. TFL – EMOVERE’: Feel. Move. Heal.: Customized session (Personal training, yoga, etc.) includes foundational work of alignment, breathwork and constructive rest, (ABC's) and mindfulness practices. TFL - ENERGYTOUCH: EnergyTouch™ session includes a light touch compression technique, breath work, and weighted blanket. EnergyTouch calms the nervous system and energetically soothes the body.

Rebecca has worked very hard to learn my limitations and how best to progress me forward. I've gained so much more function and strength from her yoga instruction and very skilled massage.

Rebecca is a great yoga teacher. Demonstrates moves and explains things well. Works with client on their level and moves them forward. Great way to wind down at the end of a stressful day and recharge. I love the small class settings for lots of personal attention.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

After experiencing depression in my own life, I sought help through therapy and exercise. After training for my first marathon, I realized how much better I felt. My mind was clear and my body felt vital again! Running, practicing yoga and mindful meditation was a combination that worked for me! I discovered that movement is medicine and emotions are connected to movement. I no longer felt stuck in depression and I wanted to share how I worked my way back to wellness. Completing coursework for certification was very empowering. I became a trainer to help others own their body again, energetically, physically, and spiritually. I want to empower clients to discover sustainable strategies for daily self-awareness and basic holistic/healing skills through a variety of practices.
