FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Prior to the start of any project, receive at least three estimates for each specific trade necessary for the job, including electricians, plumbers, hvac, framers/carpenters. What I have encountered on numerous occassions are home/business owners who elect to use the lowest bid, many times too low, resulting in a final product that is poor or does not meet minimum code and industry standards. When work is completed in a poor manner and the owner has to rehire a new contractor to redo the work, the costs will typically end up doubling or tripling, mainly due to added issues not previously existing. Be aware of the lowest bid, especially when that price is 25% or more lower than all other estimates. Today, reputable contractors are relatively close when everyone has a clear understanding of the project at hand, and the prices should be competitive.
