Violin Lessons (for children or teenagers)
I cannot speak more highly of Mr. Agee! My son was interested in learning the Irish fiddle so he could play with his cousins that live in Dublin. Mr. Agee was patient yet demanding, encouraging, and extremely talented. We didn't know of him before searching out a fiddle teacher, but every time someone asked us about my sons teacher, they DID know of him. He is extremely talented and well know in the KC Metro (and beyond) Irish music circles, and teaches students young and... young at heart. We have taken a break from lessons for a bit, and cannot wait to get back to working with Mr. Agee!Dec 31, 2017VerifiedAgee Music Lessons's reply
Thank you Sarah, for the kind review. I would love to work with Johan again!
Guitar Lessons (for adults)
Dave is a kind and engaging teacher. His philosophy and approach make learning the guitar as an adult less daunting. I can easily see why people of all ages enjoy their lessons with him.Jan 12, 2016Verified
My daughter absolutely loves her lessons with Dave. She tells me each time that she loves it and once told me, without being prompted, that she really likes her teacher because he's patient and funny. From sitting outside of their lessons, I can tell you he knows his stuff and his doodling around even sounds wonderful. I hope for my daughter to spend many years working with Dave.Jul 1, 2015Verified
I have taken fiddle lessons from David during the past few months. He is a patient teacher with an encyclopedic knowledge of traditional Irish and American folk music and comfortable teaching style.Nov 26, 2014

Then the style of music do they want to learn. Then help advance the student from where they currently stand. Such as how to hold the instrument properly and learn good technique as not to develop bad habits.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?54 years of playing for my own enjoyment and professionally and 27 years of teaching.
