The massage therapist that worked on me did an excellent job. I have had a lot of body work done on me over the years due to a couple of car accidents and being a professional dancer for many years. I had a specific area that needed work because it was inhibiting my range of motion. After one session there was noticeable improvement with mobility and less pain. They have a great package that I highly recommend where you can get a significant discount for prepaying for multiple sessions. I was already planning on booking another session just because of the improvement in my muscles. The package they offer means I will be back multiple times and I'm really looking forward to it.Aug 13, 2020Verified
It was my first massage at this place! There’s so many good things that I do not know where to begin! I am glad that all of my needs were accommodated and happy that the therapist knew of a nerve disease I had. I felt very comfortable and cleansed the following days. Laura was a great conversationalist and gave me tips for afterwards and truly paid attention to my wants and needs. I loved the massage and it was worth every penny! I will be back! I appreciate the caring nature of everyone there!Jun 30, 2020Verified
It only let me choose three of the five categories otherwise I would have chosen all five. Elise was punctual, very professional, and her massage therapy was excellent. She wore a mask and wiped down all surfaces, washed her hands and complied with all safety precautions during the difficult time of dealing with Covid-19 precautions. She was able to successfully release so many knots, and took her time to work through the layers of muscle one at a time. I would highly recommend Elise.Jun 15, 2020Verified
I had never been to a massage therapist before; dealing with chronic back pain after being in a car accident, I decided to make an appointment for deep tissue massage. Elise exceeded my expectations - not only did she know how to fix my body, but she gave advice on how to keep my body relaxed and pain free. I can't wait for my next massage!Oct 4, 2019Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I do some screening in initial correspondence and perform full disclosure for a few minutes at the time of appointment in order to fully understand the needs. During the session I will apply any applicable assessment and proceed while encouraging the client to voice needs, opinions, and preferences. I notably inform the client of any observations and possible solutions unless otherwise required (eg. no talking request). All aspects of the session are personalized from the type of lubricant preferred to the aromatherapy and the varying tools of comfort used. (eg. I have tons of pillows for side-lying massage should the need arise, etc) I have a policy of never pushing a client beyond his comfort level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Certification from Pinnacle Career Institute, 10+ years on site training as a massage therapy practitioner, certification in SMRT for the Lower Extremities, licensure in Missouri, KCMO, Lawrence, and Overland Park, with Advanced Certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage (may include stretches), Active Release Therapy, Passive Release Therapy, Sports Massage (including stretches), Prenatal Massage, Guasha, and Thai Massage.
