Larry is the third guitar teacher I've ever had. The first two were in the classical style, and I was seeking a teacher to teach me electric/metal techniques and somebody who would be willing to teach me theory in the guitar to help me be able to start composing. Larry has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and I have never had more fun or learned more from an instrument teacher, I highly recommend him !!!!!
Jimmy is teaching both of my sons how to play the electric and acoustic guitar. My 19-year-old came home after one lesson amazed that Jimmy wrote the notes out for a song that he wants to learn how to play. "He's a guitar god mom!" he said. A true musician, Jimmy's lessons will help your child succeed in any area of life. Jimmy showed my son how to break down a song and analyze it's notes and cadences and play it exactly as it was written. Jimmy is a world-class artist who has toured with major R&B acts. A music lesson is like a master class.
These lessons will definitely increase your guitar knowledge, which is something every guitar player needs! Highly recommended!
Tatiana is an extremely talented pianist with very effective teaching methods. She helps me learn pieces I really enjoy. She helps me understand music theory. She is very patient and we laugh together when I make a miss a note. She continually motivates me to do my best and makes learning the piano fun.
He is the best voice teacher I have had! He is professional but still makes lessons fun and interesting. The knowledge he has in all things music (& much more) is well beyond what you would find with a university teacher and he is always willing to share his knowledge with his students. And he plays the piano really well! I am amazed at how much my voice has improved in the time he has taught me & I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to sing.
I have had two lessons with Scott and I am having a great time. We communicate well together, and he has a lot of knowledge and experience that he can pass on to me. I expect to continue my lessons for quite some time. Scott was a great find for me.
I have had the pleasure of taking lessons from Maya for the past three years. Her teaching style smoothly combines technical growth, music theory, and musical history in an efficient lesson plan. She provides the structure for continued growth, but gives the student input on their development path. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is fun, engaging, and talented! I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Piano.
Set up music lessons, rates, policies and ordered instrument. Friendly and knowledgeable.
Great company and an even better instructor. Leigh Ann has done a great job teaching me the French language. She is very adaptable to my learning style, and she goes above and beyond to make sure I’m getting the most out of her lessons. I highly recommend going to the Language and Music House. It will improve your language skills and make you enthusiastic for all the possibilities of world travel.
Before taking lessons with Heidi, my technique was very poor and I struggled with piano fundamentals. Heidi helped me improve greatly and gave me easy techniques to implement into my practice regimen that caused me to improve immensely. I had always disliked classical music, but Heidi taught me to appreciate the music, and now I even listen to classical music for enjoyment. Overall, Heidi is positive, fun, and extremely talented. I was very pleased with her teaching method and always looked forward to my piano lessons. I am extremely grateful to have had her as a teacher.
I hired her to teach my four year old daughter beginning piano and even though we just started, my daughter cannot stop talking about her. Excellent with children and very knowledgeable, comfortable setting for adults and children to learn.
So far it has been a great way to get back into music instruction. I really am amazed at how affordable the lessons are given the that the instructors are very talented and professionals.
John appeared to quickly evaluate my previous music experience (on another instrument) and get me working right away. I am very pleased and satisfied.
I've been taking sax lessons from John for over a year now. He's great and has the patience of a saint. I took up music a little later in life than most and he has helped me figure out theory as well as play music that brings me great enjoyment. I would recommend him for lessons to anyone interested in sax or clarinet.
Jon is a VERY talented and skilled musician in classical and contemporary music--well able to match my lesson with my skill level. (Moderately advanced.) A natural teacher with performance experience. Personable and dependable.
I have known Elizabeth for nearly 15 years. She has always strived to be the very best she can be, for herself and others. Elizabeth continues to find ways to enhance her abilities as a music professional. Elizabeth and I work closely together. I have observed her and her interactions with students, parents and colleagues. I have witnessed her students maturing in their music studies while having fun "playing" music. Elizabeth has an outstanding work / teaching ethic and has high standards for herself and those who work with her. I have, and will again, recommend Elizabeth as a private music teacher of harp, piano, guitar and music theory.
I am fifty-one and wanted to take a few guitar lessons. I was turn on to Jacob back in February of 2012 and go for thirty minute lessons once a week. I suppose there are hundreds of good teachers in the ares, but I think in Jacob I have found a good mix of what I need to know and what I want to know. In the short time that Jacob has been teaching me, I can now read music, know a little about theory, know enough chords to play hundreds of song! We spend a lot of time playing scales up and down the neck, this is called soloing. Its what you hear in most rock and blues with all the bends, hammer on, hammer off and slides. I take my lessons sometime with my acoustic and then my electric. I will never be able to play classical like Andres Segovia or shred like Slash, but with Jacobs help someday soon I will be able to play a ton of stuff. Each week he gives me more and more tools to help me to fulfill a dream I have had for as long as I can remember. Give Jacob a try and see if he's a good fit with what you want to accomplish. You may want to pay him just to play for you!
Meagan did a great job with my blog post. She is professional and attentive.
Derrick has been my guitar instructor for nearly a year, and I greatly appreciate how far he's brought me. I am retired, and now have time to pursue guitar playing on my bucket list. He has been incredibly patient with me, and very accomodating with the scheduling of my in-home practice sessions. His knowledge of classical to country, and everything in between amazes me. What I have learned from him has deepened my understanding of music history and music theory, even beyond what I had hoped for. I hope he will always be my teacher.
