We engaged ActiveLogic to help do some early-stage UX/UI design for a new product launch. As a self-funded start-up, our budget for this process was quite limited. Robert from ActiveLogic worked within the framework of our budget and requirements to produce a great design. Robert and his staff were very professional and extremely knowledgable. We were also quite please with the entire design process and how they approached our project. Overall I would not only recommend them, but would be very happy to use their services again as our needs arise.Nov 18, 2015Verified
I engaged Rob to design and build a 360 leadership assessment system complete with integrated credit card processing. He and his team exceeded my expectations on design and functionality, all the more impressive since many of the algorithms I required were highly complex.Dec 21, 2014
They were very nice to work with but they were not prompt on timelines.Jan 10, 2017Verified
Scheduled a call to discuss the project, and never heard from the developer. They no longer responded to emails or messages via ThumbTack. Perhaps they decided my project wasn't for them, or perhaps they intend to develop the application on their own without the insight of a writer? In either case, remarkably unprofessional to drop contact without so much as a message to apologize and reschedule, or simply decline. Perhaps you'll have better luck.Aug 31, 2017VerifiedActiveLogic Labs's reply
We missed a scheduled call because of a personal urgent matter. We also reached out promptly to schedule a new call and apologized for our absence. To go as far as far as claiming we wanted to "steal" their idea is unwarranted and unprofessional. We have nothing but great reviews on our profile and we hold our feedback in high regard.
Robert and his team are Top Notch! They do exactly what they say they will and are very good at understanding/interpreting instructions and turning them into finished product.. Highly recommend.May 4, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our general guidelines on pricing are built around $125/hr for short term projects and over 12 months we can negotiate down to as low as $75/hr. Short-term projects can vary depending on the skill set needed, availability, and complexity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First of all, we understand every situation is unique and accommodate every client so will adjust processes accordingly. With that said we normally start with Pre-Project Consulting (will sign an NDA if needed): via phone call, video conference, or meeting in person to gather as much information (who, what, when, where, why) to understand the problem or solution. "We won't build anything your business does not need". Next step is a Letter of Intent: we send you an estimate of time/budget that is needed. If you believe we are the right fit then we will start off with a kick off call. 1) Research, Design, and Planning 2) Development - Coding 3) Testing, Release, and Support
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to Bachelor Degrees in Computer Engineering, we have many combined years of experience in software development.
