I am so glad that I stumbled upon Seeking Solace. My experience there (which has included taking every single class offered, from more than one instructor) has been instrumental in the growth of my own yoga practice. I have not only experienced a welcoming, calming, and nurturing version of each type of class taken. But I have managed to learn more in the classes taken at Seeking Solace, than I feel like I have learned in the past few years of various classes overall. Colleen (the owner) takes an active and very individual approach with each student. I feel that this carries over to each class depending on the group in attendance that day as well. I personally appreciate and thrive in an environment where the instructor is dedicated to truly providing the best possible class to each individual person there. There are a variety of classes throughout the week, as well as a Saturday class and occasional workshops & additional offerings. You can feel comfortable knowing that your teacher will explain the postures in such a way that you can modify for your own body & experience level. If you are brand new to yoga, suffering from an injury that perhaps has kept you from trying or returning to yoga, or if you are a seasoned yogi, this studio has something to offer that will deepen your practice and allow you to learn at the pace needed, with exceptional instruction from a veteran, well trained, & highly devoted instructor.
We have really enjoyed Cara's yoga classes here at MMGY Global! Everyone looks forward to a little relaxation and exercise each month. I enjoy how each class gradually gets to a more difficult level. This is my first experience with yoga and I feel as though I've learned a lot. Thanks Cara! :)
My first class was awesome. I felt so good after class.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the alignment of the body which is important for your safety and for strength and flexibility. My private clients include an amputee, one who overcame stage 4 kidney disease working with me, people rehabilitating back issues, knee replacements, and hip replacements, athletes and those who want to learn yoga for strength, flexibility, and relaxation. I also have an in-depth knowledge of the philosophy of yoga, I teach meditation, and I am an energy worker. I love my students and clients!
Paige is very knowledgeable and in tune with each participants needs. She strives to ensure that everyone in her class gets some individual attention specific to their body. She is a genuinely caring person with lots of knowledge and she wants to help everyone feel and move better. Highly recommend.
I'm a 200-hour RYT, and I received my training in San Diego. I currently teach three weekly yoga classes at Legacy Fitness in Gardner, KS. All levels are welcome, including beginners. I focus on correct alignment of poses and breathing. I'd love to instruct more classes or private sessions. It would be my absolute pleasure to guide you in your practice!
Mindful yoga is about physical and mental wellness. Practices range from breathing exercises and meditation to Vinyasa flow. Each practice is centered around the individual and their specific needs.
I believe that yoga teaches us how to live our lives off the yoga mat. I believe that yoga is more than simply moving through postures––it is a way of giving grace to our minds and bodies so that we can open our hearts to live more fully. My intention is to share yoga in playful ways that inspire people to create a regular yoga practice. I have been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching for 8 years. In that time, I have learned that yoga can give something to E V E R Y O N E. I first rolled out her mat in 2004 at a workshop where I fell in love with the postures. They made me feel connected to the people around me––the music was fun, the yoga was new and AH-mazing, and best of all…I got to practice barefoot! From that moment, I was hooked. Throughout my practice, I have had several teachers who introduced me to a variety of styles of yoga including Hatha, Astanga, Yin, Vinyasa, Power, and Anusara. I have studied with the YogaFit 200 RYT and Zen Zone 200RYT programs. I see myself as both a teacher and a student––a lifelong learner who is fascinated by the stories and experiences of others and what I can learn from them. I teach thoughtfully designed classes using lighthearted music, props, and intention to create a heartfelt practice that is appropriate for any type of body and level of ability. I like to walk around, give adjustments, and reflect in my classes. Sometimes I even bust out a little Sanskrit!
I do sun salutations, yoga asanas, and breathing exercises. I have an open practice to encourage and discover new space together on our mutual path.
