Sally is both a great singer / composer and a great person to work with. She's both very warm and has a great sense of humor that comes across both in her songs (if desired) and in my conversations with her. I know you'll have a good time working with Sally. Also, I am very impressed by the quality of her songs. She's also great with music lessons.

PERSONALIZATION! In PIANO lessons my goal is to teach students how to improvise music they love, not just to play notes, but to play the music. I have found that a majority of piano teachers do not include this wonderful skill in their lessons. ART lessons help students unlock keys of understanding how to draw what they see. The rest is learning how to handle materials.

About

I specialize in young and intermediate singers and beginning piano. I am a music teacher, and I have over 15 years of teaching experience! I love working with children and helping to motivate them, yet help them learn in the way they learn best.

About

Next to playing piano and bass, I love teaching lessons on my instruments to others and have been doing so since I was 19 yrs old. I draw on 36 years of playing experience and 24 years of teaching experience as I offer lessons in my studio. I have successfully taught piano and bass students ranging in age from 4 to 82. After basics are feeling comfortable, I like to introduce improvisation to my students, something many teachers refuse to do because they don't feel comfortable with this particular area of music. Not to be confused with just "playing by ear", improvisation draws heavily upon music theory concepts; people who are skilled in improvisation are spontaneously composing music. This skill allows students to participate effectively in jazz, rock, country, blues, praise and worship, and other popular idioms. I do this while still keeping students involved with the so-called "classical" repertoire so that the reading of music never loses its importance. I am offering guitar lessons for beginners or experienced players wanting to polish their skills and learn new techniques. I am self-taught and have been playing for over 18 years. I studied music theory and composition for two years in college, and I play a wide variety of styles, including rock (classic, alternative, and heavy metal), country, folk, classical, and reggae. I am charging between $20 and $30 for two weekly lessons (30-minute sessions) but am willing to work with those on a budget. I would also be willing to travel in or around the Wichita area.
