FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weddings I have a standard pricing system at $175 an hour. For extra edited prints above the agreed upon amount, I have a fee of $10 per print. For those who wish to have their prints placed in a book, I check several vendors I use to see if they have a special going on and then use that vendor. I do not necessarily go with the cheapest vendor because that be the least quality. I want the books to be of quality and durability. I do not mark up the books, the customer gets them at my cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with or speak on the phone with new customers before the session to answer and questions. I explain the process for viewing the proofs on line and how to choose which photos for the final edit. If the session includes edited prints on a CD or flash drive I explain the print release process and recommend labs to get the photos printed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! I attend workshops and webinars on a regular basis because photography is a profession where one always learns and grows (even after 30 years).
