RC recently tiled my bathroom, installed a new toilet, and installed a new garbage disposal for me. I was so impressed with his level of professionalism. He resonded immediately, quoted fairly, and did an excellent job. The tile looks great! He started the job immediately, just like he had advised and I felt as if my job was his top priority. I will definately be hiring him again in the future.

Paul was outstanding. He took a completely gutted bathroom and turned it into a beautiful new install. He handled drywall, paint, shower installation, cabinetry, trim, plumbing, and every other facet of the install. He did an outstanding job and I'd highly recommend him. He's a perfectionist that may take longer than usual, but the end result is completely worth the wait. Thanks Paul for all of your hard work. I'll post pictures for future customers to see soon.

Completely satisfactory. We did a bathroom remodel--new tile floor, removed jacuzzi tub and old shower. Replaced with a walk-in shower. Added a separate water closet room. The carpentry, dry wall, etc. were excellent, but the tile work is outstanding. Chris Briley is an artist with tile. - - submitted by Jerry

My wife and I met with David to bid on painting the interior of our rental property. While we waited for David to finish measuring, I received a call from a contractor rescheduling a meeting to bid on interior and exterior repairs. We were on a strict time frame needing work done before painting. David gave us his bid and ask when did the work needed to be done. I explained our problem needing interior and exterior repairs done before painting. David explained that his company not only are expert painters but can do the repairs needed as well. We hired Enlite Painting to repair and paint. Enlite tiled the kitchen, bath and utility room. Widened a door way, built a mantle over the fire place, installed recessed lights, patched holes in walls and ceiling, painted the trim, walls, and ceiling. Repaired 121 feet of chain link fence, power washed the house, garage and repaired a large hole in the garage roof. We are very pleased with the price and excellent work Enlite Painting performed. The Enlite Team are professional and great to work with. We highly recommend Enlite painting. Thank you David and team. Elliott and Debbie Pannell

I had Jared pour a concrete patio, install a fence and remove 3 overgrown trees. We die added to the concrete patio and they also scored it to look like large tiles. They did a great job, finished quickly and were reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Did good quality tile work on the floor and shower walls and with a good price. There were several delays and the job site was very messy. We had some unexpected costs that both parties could have been more clear on upfront but ultimately agreed on the price. Very nice guy and we are pleased with the end result.

We had a great experience with Bill and Frank (and associates). When we originally met to discuss what would be done, we were thinking just backsplash in our kitchen, as well as tile on our fireplace. However, we ended up with much much more! Frank is a man of many talents. We had many ideas that we added on to the job and without hesitation, Frank completed all tasks (fixing/installing our newly purchased oven, backsplash behind the range, installing a range hood, fixed popcorn ceiling, fixing other areas on our fireplace area, etc etc etc. They completed it very quickly and professionally. I would (and have!) recommend Lebiram Inc for any job!

Jason has worked for me and with me on many projects over the past several years. I have several rentals and from time to time I have needed help or need a project completed with out my help. He has remodeled several bathrooms for me including tub replacements and converting tub-only to tub/shower . He has replaced several windows in several of my rentals, Installed guttering, installed siding, installed roofing, properly prepared old siding and painted rental external, replaced several interior and external doors and casings. He has built cedar fencing and repaired other cedar fencing for me. As well as a lot of other small projects. Jason is a perfectionist and it shows in every project he takes on. His work quality and work ethics are outstanding. Explain to him what you want done, and let him go to work------He does not need anyone to monitor him, he will do a good job, whatever the project.

Brandon and Nick retiled two separate bathtub surrounds and they both look good. Caulking the tub was not as smooth as could be, but the tiling and grouting are solid.

I'm a designer/store owner & the Jays have done work for my customers for 16 years. They are fine mechanics when it comes to prep work & replacing subfloors or adding underlayment. They are also very detailed in installation of carpet, pad, sheet vinyl, and the popular luxury vinyl plank & tile floors, Good detail on the luxury vinyl tile & grouting. No call backs - they do the job correct the first time! Very courteous to customers and their property. Show up to job on time and stay until completed. Fast workers but detailed.

David installed hardwood flooring on my main level and on the staircase to basement. In addition he transformed the railing/balusters from all wood to wood and wrought iron. The 180 degree "three step turn" on the stairs is gorgeous and the hand work for the balusters is equally well done. The overall floor is a striking piece of work. Most recently he assisted me in finalizing a different project... David installed tile as the 'base board' to put a finishing touch on a concrete treatment in the main room of the basement. It looks great. He does excellent work!!! And he takes pride in his work!!!

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to tile a shower?

The cost of tiling a shower depends on two main factors: the size of the shower and the quality of the tiles. In general, most professional tilers charge an average of $25 per square foot of tiled area and the national average cost for a tile installation project is $490-$750. The tiles themselves are the greatest variable; the cost depends on their size, shape, pattern and manufacturer. For example, tile purchased at a volume discount from a big-box store cost far less than tiles made in small batches by an artisan ceramics shop. Prices can range from as little as $1 to $50 or more per square foot of tile. Other factors that will drive up the total tile installation cost are grout and mortar, speciality tiles like bullnose caps or soap holders, and surface prep materials, especially if drywall needs to be replaced before the tile can be installed. Many tile installers will also remove and haul away any old materials from an existing shower installation.

How much does it cost to tile a bathroom?

Tile installation costs are a key part of your bathroom remodel costs. The tile you select (which can range from under $2 per square foot to $50 per square foot or more), the demolition and repair work required prior to installation, and the size of the job will all affect cost. You can install tile in the shower, on the counters, on the wall or on the floor. The national average for tile installation cost ranges between $490 and $750. Bathroom tile is easy to clean and durable for daily life. Here are some examples of average bathroom tile installation costs:

        • Tile installation at $25 per square foot of tiled bathroom area.
          • A standard tub and shower combo requires tiles for approximately 60 inches of length. Calculate wall height and add 30 to 36 inches of tub width for the walls at the head and foot of the tub. If the tile walls are 6 feet to 8 feet high, in this example, the tile installation costs would run about $2,000. Price includes materials.
        • Tile installation on a 3-foot by 5-foot regular tub and shower walls with an 8-foot ceiling: $1,450. Price includes materials.
        • Tile installation on a 3-foot by 5-foot regular tub and shower walls with a 10-foot ceiling: $1,650. Price includes materials.

How much does it cost to install a ceramic tile floor?

Tile installation costs for ceramic floors depend on the type of tile you select. You can purchase tile that sells for under $2 per square foot or tile that costs $50 per square foot — or more for artisanal and hand-painted tiles. The cost of labor to install a tile floor will also depend on the tile you select. It is far less labor-intensive to install a white 12-inch by 12-inch square tile than a 2-inch by 2-inch hexagonal tile with a distinct pattern. That extra time and energy equates to a higher per-square-foot installation cost. For example, a flooring pro may charge approximately $3.50 per square foot for labor to install wood-look tile in an area ranging between 6 feet by 24 feet and 8 feet by 48 feet. That same pro may charge $6 or more per square foot for a more intricate pattern, or a smaller space. Some installers may charge a minimum day rate for ceramic tile floor installation, such as $340 minimum per day, to cover business expenses and employee wages. If you’re looking to reduce costs, removing your existing flooring and handling any repairs needed can help eliminate prep work costs. Prep work may be charged per hour and could cost anywhere from $25 to $80 per hour or more, depending on the region and the type of repair work necessary.

How much does it cost to get tiling done?

You can install tiling on your floors, walls, counters, kitchen backsplash, outdoor patio and shower — to name a few places. Tile is beautiful, easy to clean, durable, and resilient against kids and pets. The national average for tile installation cost ranges between $490 and $750. Often, tile installation specialists quote a price per square foot for installation. Costs can increase if you want the pro to supply the tile instead of ordering it yourself. Other factors that can increase cost include specialized installation with a unique design that will require more labor to install.

Prep work will also affect tile installation costs. Demolition of the existing floor, counter or backsplash takes time and energy that will be reflected in the price. Necessary repairs, such as a sub-floor that needs bolstering before tile flooring can be installed, will also increase costs. For tile showers, one example of tile installation cost may be approximately $25 per square foot including all materials and labor. Average tile installation costs for backsplashes may run anywhere from $10 to $40, depending on the materials selected and the amount of labor required. The larger the area where tile is being installed, the lower the price per square foot will likely be. For example, a flooring pro may charge approximately $3.50 per square foot for wood-look tile installation in an area ranging between 6 feet by 24 feet and 8 feet by 48 feet.

How much does it cost to install tiles in a kitchen?

One of the most common kitchen upgrades is installing decorative backsplash tiles in the space between the counters and cabinets. It’s a chance for homeowners to get creative while also protecting the kitchen walls from splashes and stains. Like all tiling projects, kitchen tile project costs depend on the tiles you choose, installation materials such as grout and mortar, and any surface materials, like replacement backer board. The national average for a tiled kitchen backsplash is $490-$750. In general, pricing averages $10-$40 per square foot for installation, not including tile. Some professional tile installers have a minimum day rate for small projects, which averages $350.
