Lisa has been a pet sitter & dog walker for my Weimaraner for going on two years and when she comes to the door my dog couldn’t be any more excited to see her and go on it’s walk. Very prompt and professional with a great personality, I highly recommend her if your interested in having someone walk and or sit your furry family member.

Gretta has been my daughter’s instructor for about 5 years. When my daughter started riding she had no previous experience with horses. Gretta has a real passion for passing on her knowledge to her students. Gretta took my daughter’s blank slate and with patient and competent instruction developed my daughter’s proficient horsemanship. If my daughter had the aspiration, I’m confident, under Gretta’s tutelage, she could become an accomplished show-woman. In addition to cultivating an environment that is safe for horse and rider, she had developed a “barn culture” that is respectful and supportive. My experience has been that both riders and parents/adults embrace this culture because it is the ideal environment for growing, both as an observer and a rider. I think one way this “barn culture” is established is by her encouraging more seasoned riders to mentor less seasoned riders. Not only does the mentor and mentee grow, but the communication removes the barrier of awkward silence. Thank you, Gretta, for being a positive role model to my daughter. You have taught her how to live with grace and dignity. In addition you have taught us both that when life knocks you down, it is possible to build and live again.

I had an amazing lesson! I learned a lot from my instructor, more than I have from any other lesson barn I've been at. By far the best quality of instruction I've ever had during a lesson. The staff are very knowledgeable and professional. The horses are well trained and safe. The barn is well kept with a large indoor that has very good footing and a nice sized viewing area. I definitely recommend lessons from Marisa and Missy Jo.

I met John on this site because I needed someone to watch my cat Louie for a week after moving to a new place where I knew literally no one. It was my first experience allowing a stranger into my home and I didn’t know how to feel about it initially. John is like family to us now. His professionalism and heart for animals really show through his work. He sends me updates every day he is over and writes detailed notes about his experience. I’ve met a lot of “animal people” through my past experiences working at animal hospitals and shelters, etc.. so I can tell when people can really connect with animals. John has a rare talent for making animals trust him and feel safe and happy. To anyone who needs a pet sitter who will be everything you’d want in a pet sitter, look no further. John is the gold standard.

We absolutely loved Mac! We found ourselves in a situation where we were leaving for vacation in 1 week and our 9 month old German Shepherd started her heat cycle and the sitter we had originally lined up was no longer able to take her. We found Mac through a recommendation and she was so prompt and responsive in being able to do it such short of notice and with answering all our questions and being flexible in being able to get a meeting set up prior to us leaving. We are so grateful for Mac and all that she did for us while we were out. She sent us pictures, updated us on our pup and our cat. She was even able to not only house sit for us at night, but came over during the work week on her lunch break to let our pup outside and run around a little bit. The house was spotless when we got home too! Would highly recommend.

I took my 15-year old niece horsebackriding for the very first time at First Farm Inn, and she laughed with joy the entire time. I've been on a few horseback riding ventures and most were with 25 other people wandering across an open field with a short trek through a few trees. Not so with Jen! She actually taught us how to control the horses, and we rode all over the property, across open fields and thru steep trails in the trees. We even learned to trot and canter! I have great photos and my niece had an experience of a lifetime. She even enjoyed feeding the horses watermelon after our ride and got a chance to brush them. Quite the memorable outdoor experience for a city teenager!

She really showed great concern and care for my 2 dogs. I loved the fun pictures sent to me while I was away for the holidays. By far, she has been the best pet sitter I’ve had. I would really like to keep using her from here on out as the pet sitter for my dogs. My dogs really liked her and she just took such good care of them. I will use her again when Time for vacation.

Anyone who knows me in person knows that I am 100% obsessed and protective of my dogs. I always strive to give them the best life they deserve. When my class schedule was getting too busy, I needed someone to help me out with the dogs so they weren't cooped up all day. I am so thankful I found Allie because she seems to care for them as much as I do. When I get back from my classes, they are almost too tired to say hi to me! I also really appreciate how she has personalized regimens for each dog. I have a hyper younger dog and an aging dog so they obviously need different workouts. I honestly have no idea what I'd do if Allie wasn't here to help me out. If you're ever in need of an AMAZING dog walker, give Allie a call!!

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

          • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
          • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
            • 45-minute visit: $28.
            • 60-minute visit: $32.
          • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
          • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
            • 12 hours: $100.
            • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
