I took six years of lessons under John Hedger, and I truly can't say enough good things about his level of performance and pedagogical approach. As a professional classical musician myself, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest John Hedger for anyone interested in guitar lessons. Few guitarists can provide both high level classical and electric/rock based lessons, and I can personally say that the quality of instruction offered by the John Hedger Guitar Studio is top notch.
Jane is a really nice teacher. I'm glad I found someone to help me with my piano lessons. I look forward to keep learning how to play music. :)
I feel that Justin is a good match for me. I also really appreciate that he is flexible with communication, and is able to respond to texts. He is also the perfect combination of professional and relaxed which helps me to feel comfortable. I’m so glad he is able to teach me vocals and guitar simultaneously. I highly recommend.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Paul for a little over a year, and in that relatively short time not only has my playing improved significantly, but so has my understanding of song structure, the bacis music theory, and perhaps most important my confidence. In fact, with Paul's patient instruction and encouragment, I am now starting to play in public on a semi-regular basis. Couldn't have done it without him.
My son, Ethan Portwood started out taking guitar lessons from Chris at the age of 15 then switched to taking Bass lessons after about a year. During that time Chris helped him grow into an accomplished musician and singer. Chris also helped not only Ethan but 3 others and before you knew it we had a GREAT band. Sadly though as time went on and they guys grew older the band no longer is together. Chris was and still is there for them for advice if needed. Hopefully after the first of the year we can get a new band together.
While I'm confident Lisa tailors her lessons to an individual student's desired pace, she has the ability to teach with the kind of speed and rigour that serious players are looking for. She shines the most with her knowledge and taste for music. She seems to have a deep understanding of the music theory that's relevant to teaching someone the guitar. Lisa has proven to me that she cares about my growth through her kind but telling actions. Small things, such as keeping me after the scheduled time free of charge, so that we could work on some concepts. A solid pick for a guitar teacher!
I have been taking guitar lessons from Patrick Thomas for several years. He is an amazing guitar player which allows you to learn to play any style music. I have throughly enjoyed the opportunity to play music and have such a great teacher.
My daughter Abby has been working with Tim for a few months now and just loves him! She actually gets excited about going to guitar lessons now. Tim's genuine interest in his students shows through, and he adjusts his teaching to meet the interests and abilities of his students. He is a great teacher and Abby has a great deal of fun playing the guitar with Tim!

He is very patient and knowledgeable as well. i am learning very quickly in 2 weeks what i've been trying to learn in 5 years on my own.
I've been taking guitar lessons from Chris for two years, and I have learned so much from him in just a short amount of time. He has taught me a variety of music genres through both songs and scales. Chris is an exceptional guitarist and has an extensive knowledge of music! He excels at blending theory with practical techniques and methods. Chris helps me set weekly goals, and I always feel comfortable asking him questions. He is both encouraging and motivating. In addition, Chris has a very impressive music background--he recieved classical training in Spain, he plays in a few bands, and he has even recorded his own CD! If you're looking for a guitar teacher that will take you far, I highly recommend Chris Sullivan!
I'm a senior adult and taking guitar lessons for the first time. John understands my goals and has tailored his instruction to help meet my goals. I look forward to my lesson each week and learning new and exciting information about the guitar and music in general.
I'm a student of the guitar as well. I understand through first-hand experience what it's like to learn it.
I will teach you basic guitar fingering and strumming, allowing you to accompany yourself as you sing. I have been playing guitar and singing since the age of 12. I am patient and will help you learn to accompany your voice.

I have been playing for about 35 years, both for fun at home and sometimes in public -- alone or in bands with friends. As a teacher, I prefer acoustic guitar and am best suited to work with beginning and intermediate students. I am flexible to when, where, and any age. I almost like all types of music and can adapt lessons and songs to your tastes.
My goal is to instruct the learner in music theory and practical applications on guitar so that the student walks away not just knowing songs, but having skill and knowledge to being improvising and writing their own music.
I offer tutorials on playing the guitar for any skill level. Beginner to advanced students are welcome. I specialize in folk/rock/blues style.
