- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a retainer fee or by the hour for consultation, depending on the scope of what is needed - whether full project direction (which may include management and full sourcing). I give a full benefit cost analysis and source economical options and quality custom work. I offer design fee discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we schedule a meeting to determine compatibility and scope. I often reference design blogs, websites and magazine articles featuring the latest innovative and classic styles. I provide concept boards and portfolios to determine the best collaborative approach. We discuss form, function and priorities and a timeline for moving forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been immersed most of my life in creative design worlds. With an education in art and design from fine arts and craft schools, I enjoy designing furniture and lighting, adding customized details to comprehensive spaces. I also provide hand rendering, ceramics and book designing - and balance the important relationship between function and form.
