FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge less than most people because I’m not really doing this for an income. My main benefit is getting to know another dog or cat & give them love. The side benefit is extra money in my bank. I do charge extra for gas if they are more than 5 miles from my home and I also take into consideration how many trips I make a day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let them know my rates and information about me. Then I go to their home to be introduced to their dogs or cats. A lot of animals are not happy going to a kennel or having a stranger come to their home but if mom or dad introduces me most of them feel safer with me and experience less anxiety.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A lifetime of having dogs & cats, plus 10 years of taking care of others babies. I have been a volunteer for the Lexington Humane Society for 5.5 years and received some training plus observing experienced professionals. I also enjoy reading articles on my favorite thing in the world, fur babies.
