Violet's Reading Tutor

Introduction: My love of helping students in reading comes from a lifelong struggle learning to read as a child. I have had the pleasure of helping students of all age groups in public schools and in a private setting. The students would work hard to improve their reading scores and to raise their grades and test scores for the other subjects they may be struggling in. I specialize in reading tutoring for students who want to succeed and to make their life better for their future. My goals for each session is to keep the students challenged but not overwhelmed. I assist the students with a step-by-step comprehension with vocabulary and spelling technique. This would help the student to work on hard words they may have hard time pronouncing or have difficult time comprehending what the students have read. I assign reading assignment after every lesson to check for progress of their reading. I hold myself to a high standard. For that reason, I often ask for a feedback, and I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent of the student is not completely satisfied with my tutoring. I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I offer make up classes. To ensure that the students have a quiet and comfortable study space in which to work with me, I am willing to travel to clients' home, library and/or another resort where I can teach the reading lessons.
