Introduction: I have an eye for detail and whether I am photographing a person or place, creating an ad or invitation, or retouching photos my first concern is capturing the detail and keeping it sharp. Seeing the final product. I can see a photo as soon as I take it or a design piece on the the screen as I build it, but seeing it in its finished form adds a whole new element.

Amanda is an amazing photographer and not just another person claiming they're a photographer because they own a camera. She did our Christmas photos and they turned out great; crisp, clear photos with vivid colors. She is also distinguished in using Adobe Photoshop, so she is able to edit photos to remove blemishes, change background colors, swap heads if there's someone not smiling in a photo you like, but they are in another, and so on. I highly recommend her as a photographer.

Amanda asked to help our nonprofit group do anything she could to help restore our atmospheric theatre. She overhauled our Facebook, website and set up Twitter. All sites now have beautiful pictures of the theatre, merchandise and even photographs you can buy which benefit the theatre. What lovely work! Not only lovely photography but she completed every task in very minimal time. We looked and had volunteers working for 5 years to do what Amanda has done in, probably, 1/2 day.

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do! It is very important that I stay up-to-date on the world of photography and design as I have a Photoshop ACA workshop that I teach. I am also part of the Adobe Creative Cloud and therefore the programs are always updating and I am always learning more about postproduction as well as looking into new hardware technology.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always taken photos since I was little, so the photography came natural. The design side of my work came from a general education class I took my first semester in college-desktop publishing. I fell in love with it and went on to get my BA in advertising and an MA with a concentration in photography and design. It's the perfect marriage, I can take photos and use them in my work, enhance them, and create products such as calendars, cards, or packaging.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Usually I am commissioned for photo shoots, to create products such as a banner, brochure, product labeling, and event planning and implementation. I am usually combining several services for one piece or event.
