FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Staying current is a MUST in this field. The gear, the software, the wedding trends - it's all constantly changing!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandmother died in 2001 and I never asked her about her past, I was always worried about how she was doing that day. Lost a lot of memories and decided to start Memories Preserved, which began in 2003 as videos interviews of family matriarchs and patriarchs. But the name prompted people to ask about weddings, and in 2008 I started shooting weddings.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do full wedding ceremony plus approx 3 hours at reception, excluding dinner. (We don't shoot when people are eating.) We also shoot wedding prep, Best Wishes from guests, multiple camera angles for ceremony and reception highlights (e.g. entrance, special dances, cake, toasts, etc.) We also look for special family/bridal party moments. I use professional help on shooting and editing, too.
