We recently hired this couple to play music for our recent wedding reception. Our reception was perfect because of Dixieland DJ! They were absolutely wonderful! Very easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with. From the consultation, through the contract, during the planning and throughout the reception, they were very thorough and made sure that every aspect of the event was covered. They left no stone unturned. The music was exactly what we discussed and more. They played requests from the guests as well as the wedding party. We could not have asked for a better DJ service. From the first time we talked with Mr TC, we could tell he was sincerely concerned with our wishes & what we wanted for our wedding reception. He was never pushy but always ready to give advice. They go overboard to ensure that every angle is covered & that no stone is left unturned. The music was as we discussed & kept the party going. We were able to choose the amount of music we wanted to provide for him. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?NO. My price is dependent solely upon the need of the client. I do NOT sell packages. Most often, with packages, clients find themselves not needing everything in package A, yet needing something in package B. This forces the client to buy all of package A & B, which in turn, causes the client to pay for items & services & equipment they do not need for their event &/or plans. If dance lighting comes with package A & you are planning an afternoon out door event, lighting will not help you. In turn, you are paying for lights you do not need. I sell you ONLY what you need for your specific event & its needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I spend a LOT of time with my clients, especially new clients. Its important that we are on the same page. I am extremely thorough & I take my clients & their events seriously. It is as equally important that we get to know our clients & their specific needs. Every client & every event is different & should be discussed as such. No two events are the same, every event is unique in some way & we understand that.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was trained in live radio in the early 1980's. After several years there, I went to a club where I played for many years. In 2002, my wife & I started our mobile DJ service & are now 15 years into the mobile business with 2017 bringing me up to a total of 25 years experience.
