This was my first lesson and Scott did a great job of getting me familiar with the basics of a guitar. He also gave me some great finger practices to do to develop proper finger placement.

My 11 year old is taking lessons from Sid and is having a great experience. Sid uses my son's outside interests to relate to the guitar lessons. This helps my son understand what and why he is learning. I really appreciate how Sid breaks down the techniques when my son is stuck. I would recommend Sid for anyone who wants to learn the guitar at any age!!

As I sit here pondering how best to describe my bass student experience with Charlie, I believe there are four fundamental skills/attributes Charlie has going for him as a bass instructor: 1) A thorough command of music theory and its application to bass guitar. 2) A great and deep love for music which enables him to be connected with that thing in you that loves music too. 3) Excellent communication skills and 4) A sharp focus on learning who you are as a player and tailoring his comments, suggestions and instruction to help you be a better player right now and in the foreseeable future. Beyond this, Charlie has a 100% positive mindset and will provide unwavering support and belief in your ability to improve your playing. Regardless of whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, you will learn a lot and have a positive, productive experience with Charlie Wooton.

About

I teach songs and music theory in a way that is very easy to understand. Students pick the songs! I write everything down so my students can refer to the study materials anytime. I also provide chord charts, etc for further study.

About

I teach young adults and adults how to shred like a pro! I specialize in genres such as country, southern rock, rock, metal, metalcore, djent, etc. You start by learning simple chords and chord progressions, and we slowly raise the bar, pushing your abilities and what you've learned to show progress and how fun it can be once you've started learning all your favorite songs.

I have always been a teacher who can "Do" as well as "Teach", the selling point in every student was seeing me play and knowing I can explain and teach them what I have to offer.

because I taught myself and learned mainly by ear. I've also attended Southeastern University here in Hammond Louisiana. There I learned several techniques from classical guitar; this stretched my love for guitar and changed the way that I play. now I am in two bands that both play all originals consisting of acoustic jazz, blues, funk and hard rock. I can play anything in a few seconds just by hearing it. I can teach you the same.
