Introduction: I have experience teaching music lessons for over 5 years. Before the beginning of each lesson there is a specific lesson plan tailored around the weaknesses and strengths of each one of my students. As a guitar player I have a Master's in Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas and a significant amount of experience playing in venues and festivals in Dallas, New Orleans and Europe. I'm specialized but not limited to: Jazz, Funk, Soul, Gospel, Blues, Rock and Pop music. I offer lessons in the following areas: - Guitar - Piano - Music Production (Logic Pro X) - Arranging for horn sections and big bands - Music Notation Software

Chris has been a great guitar teacher. He has always been prepared for our lessons and I can see improvement in my playing skills. He prepares lessons ahead of time based on weaknesses in my playing and gives me an exact practicing schedule for the days in between lessons. This has helped a lot in making our time together as efficient as possible. He’s very personable and I have always had a great time during our lessons.

My experience with Chris at New Orleans Music Lessons was absolutely great! I needed help with a music notation program and Chris had the musical knowledge and technical expertise to walk me through every process. He showed me exactly what I needed to know and answer all my questions. He was also able to set up our on-line session in such a way as to make it exactly like having him right at side. I recommend Chris very highly!

There are discounts available for students that want to book weekly lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For all new customers the first 15 minutes of the first lesson are not charged. The first 15 minutes the instructor listens to the student's goals and determines the level of musicianship of the student.
