I cannot say enough good things about Christy. From her fast response the first time we reached out to her to look after our kitties to every time she checked on them and texted pictures of them, the experience has truly been outstanding. The only reason that we have stopped using Petit Pet Care is because we relocated to Nevada, and I do wish we could have taken her with us! We used Christy and PPC for a little over a year for cat sitting when we went out of town on extended trips. Getting in touch with her for pet sitting was very easy and she was very accommodating with our travel dates and always made sure to ask when we wanted the kitties checked on. She always texted me with little updates and pictures, which was very appreciated. We worked with other pet sitters in the past who did a good job, but I always felt that I had to follow up with them on how the kitties were while Christy was always first to reach out to us. I hired Christy to cat sit for me for three days. We met for a free consultation before I hired her and I was impressed enough not to interview any others. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Different provider use different pricing structure, with add-ons for multiple pets, administering medication or pets with special needs. I prefer to charge for time spent. We will discuss your needs and I will provide you with an estimate based on how long I think it will take me to do everything, making sure there is plenty of time to pamper your pet.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We will set up a complimentary "Meet and Greet" so the custom and their pets can pet us, and us them. We learn about the pet's routine, preferences, any special needs, feed and other care instructions. If we feel good about each other, we book the first sit or walk. We usually get a key at this time as well.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Give me as much information as possible. Tell when you need me, what you need from me and about your pet. Feel free to ask questions. Check out my website for additional testimonials from clients. Pet sitters are VERY busy around major holidays, so please don't wait until the last minute unless it's an emergency. 1-2 weeks in advance is preferred notice, and 3-4 weeks in advance (or more) around major holidays.
