TV Mounting

I needed to have a TV mounted above our fireplace and run an HDMI cable from the TV, through the attic, and into a cabinet in a separate part of the room. First, the good: TechHourly's price was significantly better than other quotes I received for this project, and the estimate was dead on to what it ended up costing. The two technicians who came out to do the work were friendly and professional. They did a great job. When we found out that I purchased an HDMI cable that wasn't long enough, they offered to sell me one they had on hand. When I declined, they still went into the attic with me to show me exactly where to run the cable once I bought one myself. More helpful than necessary and very appreciated. Second, the bad: Not sure exactly who is to blame here (TechHourly seems to be a company that basically handles the logistics but contracts with local technicians otherwise unaffiliated with the company), but I scheduled the appoint for a two-hour window (10am-noon) on a Thursday. Techs never arrived and I got a call later that afternoon to let me know they were on the way as they were scheduled to be there at 3-4pm. That was not accurate, and I asked if they could come back Friday between 10am and noon. They said they'd call headquarters and call me back to let me know. I did not hear back, but they showed up on Friday at 10:30am. So there were some significant scheduling issues, but as I said above, they showed up and did the work well, and were friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this company for the value, but be aware about potential scheduling errors.

Tech did good work. I had to help hang the TV -no helper. He had dried mud on his boots, and I had to clean up after he left.

Young man was obviously experienced, he did a detail job and did not waste any time which is greatly appreciated. Also cleaned everything up, boxes,, papers, ect. Will hire them again.. he even made sure my television was completely operating before he came. I pretty sure that not included and was not expected but appreciated. Thanks 😊

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Since we just charge for our time instead of per task like other companies you save a lot of money. Our typical customers save 30%-50% over using other companies. We are $98 for the first hour and then $49 for each additional 30 minutes after that. We bill to the closest 30 minutes which saves you money. This is a flat rate no matter if (1) or (2) Technicians are required. The technicians are compensated per job, not on how long they are there. This ensures they work quickly and carefully to finish your project.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    All the Technicians have been trained to properly wire, install and setup AV/WiFi/Camera equipment. They are taught a broad skill set that allows them to handle any situation our customers may have. Most of our Technicians have 100's of installations under their belt.
