- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly! I am currently enrolled in the Institute of Integrated Nutrition so that I can pair health coaching along with my yoga training. I am also going on a month long yoga retreat to India in March 2014 to go back to the source of the teachings.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a stressed out NYC'er working 60 hours a week and yoga helped me chill out - at first. Once I learned more about the spiritual/meditative aspects of yoga I got hooked. It became a passion, rather than a hobby. After getting a scary diagnosis and heart surgery in 2012 I knew I had to (literally) follow my heart and pursue my passion for yoga full time. I quit my job and have not looked back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Typically I teach private 60-90 minute sessions in my clients home or gym. I lead them through asana (physical postures), breath work, led meditation and sometimes hands-on Reiki healing.
