- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I often go back to the school board for updates in new strategies and techniques to help my students.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was blessed with the ability to retire from full time teaching. After about 3 weeks, I realized how much I missed the students and the learning atmosphere. Working with my current tutoring students brings me great joy and helps to satisfy the desire to continue passing on my knowledge and expertise.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Currently, the majority of my tutoring involves reading comprehension. Several of my students are dyslexic and I am able to use a variety of strategies to help them navigate and become more comfortable and successful with reading.
