This was my first lesson and Scott did a great job of getting me familiar with the basics of a guitar. He also gave me some great finger practices to do to develop proper finger placement.

My 11 year old is taking lessons from Sid and is having a great experience. Sid uses my son's outside interests to relate to the guitar lessons. This helps my son understand what and why he is learning. I really appreciate how Sid breaks down the techniques when my son is stuck. I would recommend Sid for anyone who wants to learn the guitar at any age!!

Rory is a wonderful teacher + person. did i mention he's also a great guitar player? there really isnt anything more you can look for in someone to take guitar lessons from. Taking lessons with Rory are very enjoyable, both relaxed + pushing you to keep getting better at playing. He has a a comprehensive understanding of music theory + more importantly it seems like second nature to him, his guitar seems like an extension of his body. I started lessons with him knowing nothing about guitar, however after a few months i already feel a confidence in my playing as well as an ability to create songs.

Dr. Kerry Alt is an amazing teacher. When I started taking lessons in October of 2014 I practically knew nothing about the classical guitar, especially in terms of technique and musicianship.Dr. Alt has put forth every possible effort to teach me. He finds ways to make the instrument more playable and more beautiful. He teaches with great clarity, always making the music the top priority. He truly cares about his students and knows how to train them to not only be guitar players, but musicians. As I write this review I am currently at the end of my freshman year in college for classical guitar with Dr. Alt. In a year and a half Dr. Alt brought me from being clueless on the classical guitar and not even being a student to playing Bach. If you are interested In taking up the classical guitar I sincerely recommend my teacher and friend, Dr. Kerry Alt.

This was great experience! Robert helped me feel very comfortable to begin my 1st lesson. I am a beginner and feeling comfortable is very important to me to take this step in learning to sing.

I have nothing but Positive things to say about my experience with Sam! His patience combined with his amazing skill-set makes him a master of his craft. I am a beginner (never had a guitar lesson or attempted to play) and I have been taking 1 hour lessons from him once a week for the past 3 weeks and I find myself leaving each lesson feeling accomplished. He's great at personalizing each lesson to accommodate both your weekly schedule and your personal interests. Sam always finds a way to seamlessly incorporate my personal interests ( no matter how obscure the song is) into his lesson plan! I highly recommend him.

About

because I taught myself and learned mainly by ear. I've also attended Southeastern University here in Hammond Louisiana. There I learned several techniques from classical guitar; this stretched my love for guitar and changed the way that I play. now I am in two bands that both play all originals consisting of acoustic jazz, blues, funk and hard rock. I can play anything in a few seconds just by hearing it. I can teach you the same.

About
