Twenty years ago I took violin lessons for a couple of years, then stopped. For some reason, I decided to give it another shot, and I'm glad I did. I'm enjoying the whole process more than ever.
Alexander Gurin's impressive repertoire is why I originally started my child in piano lessons with him, as I was seeking a teacher with an excellent musical foundation to provide the best instruction available. He is a wonderful music teacher who also really connects with the kids he teaches. He is incredibly patient and encouraging with younger children like my son, but also has the depth of knowledge and talent to mentor his older and more talented students to be their very best as well. Alex's range of musical abilities is truly remarkable to find in just one teacher - he has cultivated my son's interest in learning to play the violin in addition to piano and I would recommend him to anyone, both young and young at heart!
I have taken guitar lessons from Alan Donati for a number of years in order to better understand music. Being a weathered rock/blues drummer myself, I can attest that Alan is a very accomplished musician and seasoned music teacher who learned his craft via years of playing in rock, blues and jazz bands as well as attending Berklee as a solid foundation. Alan can teach a number of instruments well such as guitar, bass and piano alongside incorporating music theory with the practical applications. He is very adapt with technology as well as “old school”. I have seen Alan teach many students with great patience with tailored attention to the particular student’s interest. Some veteran musicians can only play well but not teach. However, Alan can obviously do both. And so I am giving Alan an outstanding review and rating.
He is awesome and personable!
Emily Marcello and her violin talents have greatly enriched my musical project, 'Plywood Cowboy'. Her intelligence and spirit is greatly appreciated not only by fellow band members but by entire audiences. Sincerely, Stephen Dedman firstname.lastname@example.org 869-510-8174
My 7 year old enjoys his violin lessons with her. She is very good with kids. He loves the little surprises she gives him when he does a good job.
My daughter started receiving violin lessons from Ms. Thayer as a recommendation from her 6th grade orchestra teacher that was 2 years ago. Ms. Thayer is very patient and a great teacher. She explains notes and fingering in a way so each student understands. Ms Thayer is very accommodating regarding scheduling and involves both parents and students at the end of the semester recitals. Whether you are just learning or need some refreshers she is the person to go to.
I took violin and viola lessons with Sarah for a year as an adult improver. Sarah is a fantastic teacher with a warm personality, who has the infinite patience that was required to coax me through the minefield that is playing a string instrument! After Sarah invested a lot of effort on my bow arm, my sound quality has improved a great deal. Sarah loves what she does and transmits that to her students. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Excellent teacher. Truly fine tuned my daughter's violin skills and sparked her interset. Wish we did not have to move, else we would have continued with her. Highly recommended
Private violin & fiddle instruction for all levels. Instructor has 25 year experience teaching and is a seasoned performer. Instruction is taught by ear and by reading. Celtic fiddling is my true love and I enjoy working with vioin players that want to branch out as well as beginners. Fiddlers that want to learn how to play at a traditional session can work on developing repertoire.
I am a passionate and friendly violin teacher with 20 years of experience! Having done many years of training in the Suzuki method, I am very comfortable starting young children on the instrument. I also enjoy teaching older children and adults, adjusting my approach to suit your expectations. I am thorough but also fun and creative.

I am a European-trained violin and viola teacher with a master's degree from the State Conservatory of Bulgaria. I am a winner of numerous national and international awards. I am a recording artist, orchestra and solo player and teacher.
Pay attention to details with musicianship and technique. I have experience playing professionally with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra. I have studied for fifteen years with a well trained Russian violinist, Irena Miller. I studied contemporary violin at Berklee College of Music with Mustang Sally's, Sarah Wilfong. Now I am studying folk violin with classical and folk violinist Samuel Barnes. I have studied and played the violin a total of twenty years and have the intuition and guidance new and intermediate students are looking for.
I am a professional violist with several years of teaching experience. I have played both piano and viola for nearly two decades. I have a fast growing studio in West Hartford, CT. I prefer to travel to the home of the student, but am open to you coming to my home studio for lessons, too.
I am 19 years old and have been playing music since 4th grade. In my 4th grade, I played the viola. In the 7th grade, I picked up the clarinet. In the 8th grade, I picked up the bass clarinet. In the 11th grade, I picked up the alto sax and the acoustic guitar. I now teach my 13-year-old sis the tenor sax and my 9-year-old brother acoustic guitar.
I have taught kids swim lessons before, and I am certified by Red Cross with a lifeguarding and water safety certificate, as well as CPR and First Aid training/ certificates. I have also given Piano and Voice lessons before and will be attending music school in the fall for opera studies to further broaden my studies in music. I am not just opera based, although that is the best thing for my voice. I also teach jazz, pop, and healthy musical singing! Singing should be something that is always fun, and freeing, so why not learn how to do it in the most comfortable, fun, and healthy way possible? As a teacher, I will recognize what my client would like to work on (whether it be a style of music, music history, music theory, or even basic piano lessons), while hopefully providing valid insight on how to really engage one's voice healthily. Voice lessons are very affordable (first 30 minute session free). Although I have given voice lessons at a regular rate before, I really would like the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully help them explore the amazing opportunities and fun times that go along with singing!
