Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $40 per 2 or 2.5 hours long painting lesson I sell packages of 3, 5 or 10 lessons. If student buys 10 he gets one free class: 3 lessons: 120 5 lessons: 200 10 lessons: 360 Materials are extra charge for $5 a lesson For first time 10 classes package materials are free Evening workshops are $50 and include everything. Classes for children or children/parents are 1.5 hours long, include everything and are $25 each Private lessons vary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After an e-mail exchange first student either comes to the on-going class we select or I meet a student in the studio to discuss options and to make choices between private lessons, personal program and on-going Open Studio System. Which one fits better depends on organization skills, workability, persistence and intelligence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied Fine Art since early age living in the Soviet Union. That included classical training during teenage years. I immigrated to America in 1989 and got my BA in Art from State University of New York and later on MFA from School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University.
