Introduction: I take pride in capturing the defining moment in any situation. From photographing children's portraits to a business conference, I present myself as a professional. In over 14 years as a professional photographer, I have been awarded multiple national and regional awards for photojournalism and my wedding and portrait photography has also been featured in magazines throughout New England. What I like most about my job is knowing that my photography means something to my clients. I am the only person who can create my photos, which makes each picture a work of art.

Discovering Justice D.

Reba Saldanha has served as Discovering Justice's photographer extraordinaire for the past several years. She brings professionalism, good cheer, and beautiful, expressive photography to all of our events. Among such events are large-scale mock trial and mock appellate programs with more than 100 students and 300 volunteers, conducted in a courthouse. Capturing close-up photographs during these events is challenging and Ms. Saldanha has produced exquisite, meaningful photographs consistently throughout the years. In addition, Ms. Saldanha has photographed students studying civics in classrooms and has taken stunning photos for the past three years at our Annual Benefit: A Celebration of Civic Education. We would highly recommend Ms. Saldanha for both small and large-scale projects, with either dynamic or static subjects.

We had a country bbq wedding under a tent. There were no organized photos, just candids of the day. Reba captured every moment. She even made the pouring rain look romantic (when in real life it may have been a might bit chaotic!) Love RebaPhoto!

Reba is very flexible when working with families. Our son we not feeling up for photos and she was good natured about taking the photos that we could and cutting the session shorter. She was even willing to match her pricing to reflect the time of the shoot. I was very thankful for the photos we did get and her willingness to work with us. I can't wait for our next family photo time, only this time we'll make sure the little one has his nap!

Reba is amazing! She's done pictures for my family a few times now, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She is very easy to work with, great with kids, and takes amazing photos. She always chooses locations that have great backgrounds, colors, etc. Everyone always compliments the pictures she has taken of my children. I would highly recommend her!

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the Boston Press Photographer's Association and attend their professional development meetings. I am also a member of the National Press Photographer's Associate LinkedIn group.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a student studying photojournalism at BU, I interned at The Boston Herald. From my first assignment, I knew photography was a field I could pursue over the course of many years and still learn something from every assignment.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly do portraits and events, including weddings. I am hired often by the North of Boston Media Group, which produces the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune newspaper as well as the Andovers Magazine and other publications throughout the Merrimack Valley.
