Bulent worked with me - a total stranger - with great care, deep knowledge, and a gentle desire to see me improve. And this is all the FIRST LESSON. I sing live a good bit in a popular style - but need better techniques to keep my voice healthy and improve my longevity per gig. Bulent understood this. I give my highest recommendation. I will work with him again soon.

About this pro

Greetings, If you like singing or vocal expression, you are welcome to join my voice / singing / speech studio. I teach using a simple, direct, effective, easy-to-understand, holistic and scientific method. The aim is to express the natural and style-free voice, which can be applied to any musical style or vocal field with ease, energized and flowing breath, solid technique, resonance, projection, diction, range and poise. My students come from diverse backgrounds such as opera, musical theater, jazz, pop, R&B, bluegrass, country, rock, heavy metal and public speaking. Depending on the goals of the student, lessons include some or all of the following: physical warm ups, breathing exercises, vocal exercises and technical work, solfeggio, ear training, and musical / repertoire / reading work. Students of all ages and backgrounds from beginner to professional are welcome. I teach both in my Arlington studio and online. Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are suitable for all budgets, because students are free to schedule lessons whenever they like (no forced schedule commitment). They may choose a recurring schedule, or schedule lessons whenever it works for them. Weekly lessons are ideal, but not required, because ultimately what matters is the quality of the lessons, and not the quantity/frequency. Consistent practice between lessons is critical. With a good practice routine, students can make great progress regardless of the frequency of the lessons, whether weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc. The introductory lesson dwells on all the fundamentals and is very comprehensive. Ideally it should be 60 minutes and must be recorded as video by the student. After the first lesson, shorter lessons can be scheduled. Although students can choose a custom length for their lessons, usually lessons are scheduled as: 30-min. / $40 45-min. / $60 60-min. / $80
    • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you like singing or vocal expression, you are welcome to join my voice / singing / speech studio. I teach using a simple, direct, effective, easy-to-understand, holistic and scientific method. Technique is genre-free, and comes before style. Students of all ages and backgrounds from beginner to professional are welcome. Depending on the goals of the students, lessons may include physical warm ups, breathing exercises, vocal exercises and technical work, solfeggio, ear training, and musical / repertoire / reading work. There are certain class materials I recommend to all students, and students are welcome to suggest any piece they like to work on from any genre. I encourage students to video record and analyze their lessons, which accelerates learning and progress. Audio recordings are not ideal. Usually phones and tablets are used to record the lessons. I teach in my Arlington studio, which is T-accessible, and has free and convenient parking. I also teach online (Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, etc.).
