FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a daily rate for directing, producing, shooting and editing. I'm perfectly comfortable sharing that in person when we talk.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I learn about my client's target audience, the purpose of the video, what they want it to achieve (what they want viewers to feel, think, and get them to act). We then talk over the various approaches to achieve the goals, and what it would take technically and logistically to make it happen. It's a real collaboration, where i'm not the expert, but the person who can help them produce the best possible result. Because I work independently, I keep my costs low and can price productions below competitors. And my clients deal with just one person who has responsibility for designing the creative treatment, budgeting, scripting, hiring production support, directing, editing and communicating. You get a hassle-free experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
37 years in Web, TV and radio production, including 16 years on air as a TV business reporter in Boston. For the past 14 years I have been producing corporate, institutional and nonprofit videos for the web. I was a Senior Producer for one of Greater Boston's most honored video production houses (2008-2012), worked with four TV networks in L.A. (ABC, NBC, FNN and PBS), taught broadcasting, and drove on-air promotion at two of Boston's leading radio stations (WBZ and WFNX). It has all exposed me to so much content and knowledge that I can leverage for your video.
