She started by talking about my specific goals and making sure I understood how the voice works, which is crucial in any instrument especially singing. She was always professional and I made progress every lesson. In just the few lessons we had I gained confidence, improved my enunciation, my accuracy, my comfortable range, and the length of time I can sing without straining my voice. I'll miss having lessons with her, and definitely recommend her.Jul 9, 2019VerifiedJulie Kinscheck Voice and Guitar Studio's reply
Matthew, thank you so much for your wonderful review. I do hope you can return to lessons at some point as I was also very pleased with your progress!
I signed my 5 year old daughter up for singing lessons, and she is quite shy. Julie has been very kind and good at making my daughter feel comfortable and confident.Jul 26, 2017VerifiedJulie Kinscheck Voice and Guitar Studio's reply

Vitali, thank you very much for this wonderful review. Your daughter is a joy and a jem to teach! She has much talent and enthusiasm which makes my job easy and fun!
I have been taking voice lessons from Julie Kinscheck for over three years now and am very pleased with her as a teacher. I have a very busy schedule as a manager and she has been very flexible in making the lessons happen. These lessons have built my confidence and inspired me to perform more often because of my growth as a singer. I enjoy singing in the regular student recitals. I appreciate her patience helping me to learn to read music, improve my breath support, tone and more. She also has a good listening ear when I need to talk. She motivates me to want to practice to be my best. I also see she is an excellent role model for her younger students, always willing to expand her own horizons by learning and then teaching them songs which they want to perform. She genuinely cares about her students and takes a personal interest in their lives. You can tell she has a passion for teaching. I highly recommend her!Mar 28, 2017Julie Kinscheck Voice and Guitar Studio's reply
Thank you Paul for this glowing review!
Julie is an awesome voice teacher. My 9 yr old daughter has grown to love music very much after taking lessons with Julie. Her voice has become professional and she had gained much confidence to perform solo in many concerts. I am very happy that we found Julie.Jun 18, 2018VerifiedJulie Kinscheck Voice and Guitar Studio's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My payment structure is based on students taking regular weekly lessons and paying monthly. Lessons are $48/hr, $38/ 45 min, $28/ half hour lessons. I give a slight discount for paying by the semester. I also give 5% discount for additional siblings or family members studying with me. Individual or irregular lessons cost $55/ hour. There is a one time registration fee due at the first regular payment. I do charge for trial lessons- but at my reduced rates above. Ask about group rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The process for working together is simply this: the student calls me or sends me a text so we can discuss scheduling options for lesson times. Then they come over to my Billerica studio for your first lesson. Most students pay by the month. Every lesson we will do some stretches to wake up the body and loosen up the facial muscles. Then we do some exercises to increase breath control, range control and more. Finally we work on songs to perform at student recitals, school, church or professional opportunities.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied at Oberlin Conservatory, got my Bachalor of Music in Vocal performance and arranging from Berklee college of music in Boston where I also studied guitar. I have studied with numerous well known teachers in pop, rock and gospel genres. I continue to enhance my skills with ongoing workshops and training. I have been performing professionally since childhood as a solo or in groups/ bands of all popular genres. I have released 4 CDs currently on sale.
