We received Swing Dance lessons and were very happy with the service!!!
Whether you want nutrition advice, personal training, or group classes, Infinity offers it all! Great staff, clean facility, and a family feel.
Amazing teacher! Miss Debi's classes are always a favorite among our students.
I had meditation and yoga classes with Chavi before and can't wait to attend those again! Both were amazing! Her classes are always a moment that I can truly be mindful as her methods are very helpful in this sense. When we finish the class, she will always be open to talk about any doubts or experiences that we had during the practice and that also adds so much for the whole experience! We always leave her classes feeling lighter and happier!
My husband and I wanted to dance at my daughters wedding. We did not know where to start. Kristan was great. She tailored our dancing to meet our needs and it was so much fun.. Our kids were really surprised and still talking. We are going to continue our dancing. Thank you Kristen you took a couple and showed them the joy of dancing..Sandy and Steve Rittenberg Amesbury
Ian has been teaching our 7-8 year old private tap lessons for the last year. Our favorite thing about it is that Ian's talent really gives us the sense of infinite growth potential, but he still meets William at just the right level for that particular moment. Ian is very in tune with his students, and can adapt his style and curriculum until he gets the best response from his students. We also like that he is teaching some of the underlying music theory and history of tap, which William certainly wouldn't get in his normal dance classes. Ian makes a point to welcome us at every one of the Subject:Matter performances that we've gone to, which has made the whole family feel plugged into the larger Boston tap community. Ian has been easy to coordinate with and reliable, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him!
This studio became like my second family. Great atmosphere, awesome instructors Inna, Glenio, and Edwin. Fun social events. Great selection of classes. Absolutely love going there every week. No stress, no preasure. People are friendly and you will learn dancing, and will gain many wonderful friends.
We teach ballet classes and choreograph and organize ballet galas.
Letriah is a great teacher! In the beggining when I first went to see her I was a bit afraid thinking that maybe I wasnt going to be able to understand because I really dont have any knoledge of reading music. Im learning each class a bit more. She is patient, very kind, easy to follow, knoledgeble and a great teacher over all.
Mary-Sarah is my daughters Irish dance instructor. My daughter has never had instruction in dance, and I have to say that I am amazed at how far she has come, in a very short amount of time! Mary-Sarah runs a great program that makes all who are involved feel very comfortable, and the students, confident. Comunication is great between students and parents. I feel we are getting a very fair price for great instruction. I would recomend The Flying Irish dance/yoga studio to anyone. I'm thrilled to be a part of The Flying Irish Studio!
I met Melissa through a friend. I was looking to get back into shape and needed some guidance. I had done the whole "gym thing" before and I tried to work out on my own but I never got the results I wanted. In just a few weeks with Melissa, there was a noticeable change! My core was flatter and stronger, I felt healthier and had way more energy. We work on flexibility, toning and overall strengthening. She is patient yet pushes you just beyond your comfort level to ensure you get the best results from every session. She seems to take a little bit of technique from every aspect to give you a good, well rounded class. As a former dancer (mostly ballet), it's a nice change and a different way to get back into shape. I would strongly recommend Melissa to anyone who is looking for a fun, upbeat and professional person to help them reach their goals...I'm glad I found her!!
Just What I Needed to Get Started! I've been trying to get into better shape for a while, and this pilates class was just what I needed. It wasn't so easy for me, but it sure was gratifying afterwards. Madeleine was an excellent teacher. She could tell which exercises I was having difficulties with, and made sure to adjust the lesson accordingly. I learned a lot about my own body, and am just so glad I decided to take the first step in getting stronger overall. She also taught me about the many benefits of pilates that I wouldn't even have thought of. Can't wait to work with Madeleine again. Total pro. Now I just need to rest!
I started taking lessons at The Dancing Feeling about six years ago expecting to learn some dance steps and get some exercise. Little did I know that very soon my whole life would change. The instructors were wonderful; so patient and encouraging. I soon went from a couple of group classes a week to private lessons as well; a perfect mix! The more I learned the more I wanted to learn. I then started competing which allowed for not only focusing on dance at a different level but also meeting lots of new friends and the opportunity to travel. The Dancing Feeling also offers a dance party each weekend where all levels of dancers are welcome. Whether you want to attend the dance parties, take group lessons, private lessons, compete, or any/all of the above, the Dancing Feeling offers it all! The friendships, experiences, and knowledge I have gained has been invaluable!
As a professional ballet dancer, I pay extra attention to the little details of technique and artistry. I go the extra mile to provide every resource possible for improvement, including stretching and strengthening exercises, videos of the top ballerinas in the current dance world, and advice on body management (nutrition, injury prevention, etc).
I am member of the International Dance Council (CID) UNESCO, Paris and was nominated to membership by the president CID. I am a registered Royal Academy of Dance Master Classical Ballet Teacher with over 17 years of Examination entries with results in the top 2% nationally. I build classical Ballet dancers.
What students will be learning: * Vocal technique - ear training and expanding vocal range * Creating active stage presence * Speech - articulation and projection * Using stage direction and blocking * Using emotional memory as a tool * Dance training * Examining character motivation * Taking creative risks Mixed Age Groups The classes we offer are mixed age groups (ages 5-16). We have found during our experience that when children are taken out of their exclusive peer group they often thrive and make huge creative leaps. This is why; when a younger child of seven or eight is around children a little older than she, she is far less likely to be caught up in the chaotic energy that often comes with exclusive groups of young children. Rather, she is more likely to be interested in what the older students are doing and wanting to model them. The same goes for our older students who are often likely to be caught up in the social model of what it is to look and act "cool". This can sometimes become a huge obstacle in their ability to let go, improvise and really enter a character. When the age group is mixed there is a far less likelihood of this happening. The older students will often take on a mentoring role with many of the younger students and thus the group dynamic becomes balanced and thrives! Internships: We provide internships for students ages 16 and up who are interested in teaching and are dedicated to the performing arts. These are unpaid apprenticeships and require a full session commitment. Intern focuses could include dance, acting, music, and stage management. Interviews are required. Kreative Kidz classes are fun, high-energy programs that allow young people to fully captivate their imaginations as they experience the fun of creating live theater from learning the fundamental techniques of acting for the stage, to developing improvisation and physical comedy abilities, to bringing it all together in a public performance. Students participate in a wide variety of theater activities including improvisation, scene study, storytelling, creative writing, and group singing; all are taught by caring teachers dedicated to meeting each child at his or her level. Classes emphasize drama games and exercises designed to increase spontaneity, engage the imagination, promote self confidence, and encourage ensemble spirit. No prior drama experience is required.
We offer dance classes such as ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, acro, technique, competitive teams, etc. at an affordable price! We teach children 18 months to adult.
We offer dance classes, including Zumba and dance fitness classes for children and adults ages 3 and up. We offer dance instruction, choreography, personal training, workshops, and master classes. We believe that while providing a fun atmosphere for learning, it is also imperative to train and prepare the serious dancer who aspires to reach their individual goals, whether recreational or professional. This is a place for all who have the simple desire to dance and learn to dance no matter what level they wish to take their dance education. There are no limits to the belief we have in our students as long as they believe in themselves. Our teaching methods are sound and based on progressive learning. Come and join The Dance Haven, and find the dancer in you!
While most dance studios focus their attention on childrens and teens classes, our edge is our dedication to and understanding of adults busy schedules and specific needs. Since our classes are open to adults 18 and over, our classes do not mix adults with high school kids as other studios do. The StudioDCFA is as much a haven as a place to learn, explore, and exercise.
I am a ballet dancer and instructor. I have experience teaching all ages and all levels. I generally like to include some extra stretching and conditioning in my classes as well as a more comprehensive approach to ballet. I like my students to understand the connections that their bodies and minds can have. Ballet is also a wonderful way to improve concentration, coordination, and strength.
I am a former professional dancer with Boston Ballet Company and Alvin Ailey Company. I specialize in intense ballet training.
